I am 81 years old and was born and raised in Middletown. I can write a history of what Middletown was like in the 40's and 50's. I go back there often and miss it very much. I have often thought of writing a legacy of growing up there but I don't know who would like to read about it. Anyway I enjoyed your video and could easily pin point where places used to be, especially main st.

I feel you should go for it! I am a senior in high school and I hope to go to school at Wesleyan University. I would love to learn about the history of Middletown!! You’ll be preserving the beauty of this town through your writing! If you do write this, best of luck ❤❤

@@ngannguyen9618 Actually there was a book published about the history along with pictures. I bought thye book quite some years ago but you may be able to find on Amazon or the library. Of course I could discuss the details of growing up there. My best memories are of the neighborhood which was on Court Street Most of my friends were Sicilian so we shared many likes. In the summer we would play baseball at a couple of fields that belonged to Wesleyan. In the winter it was football and sledding, again at Wesleyan. I could go on and on but it would take hours.

I grew up in Deep River, CT. In FL now and I miss it. If I may make a suggestion, if you could include just a little bit of footage of some residential areas of the towns you are visiting it would be a great addition to your channel. Thanks for these!

Predators are planning a rally to advertise themselves on Sunday, April 7th, 2024.
Summary: A crooked cop rapes a so-called "client" as revenge because she tried to escape Gilead Community “Services”. If I didn't report, I'd get asked why I didn't report.
The victim can't escape Andrew Lindberg, he's armed and he has blue privilege at the very least. He won't let her have any friends, the only friend on her list was his fake profile and he forced her to publicly post about what he did to her. I nearly vomited when I saw such a monstrosity on her profile months ago.
She's afraid to admit Lindberg rapes her. She knows better than to consent to police, and even if she made that mistake; I don't blame the victims. The so-called "relationship" would still be inappropriate even if she claimed to consent.
      The longer story:
I got retraumatized when abusers sent the police to abduct a woman and force her back into a forced prostitution ring within the group home racket. Therefore, this IS my business.
A victim was forced back into a group home because the abusers track the victims' phones, now a crooked cop rapes her for trying to escape the group home.
The cops apparently have the highest rate of domestic violence of any "profession". They shouldn't be allowed anywhere near any woman, much less an autistic woman.
I (Kedrick the Head Trip ) was subjected to retaliation twice for calling out abusers who tracked a woman's phone to force her back into a group home.
Out of respect for the victim, I won't say her name. The abuse at Gilead Community "Services" is so severe, a woman was forced back there by the predators who tracked her phone. I risked my life to protect her from the police. If not, they would've dragged her into an ambulance. I know she would never consent to any "relationship" with a police officer and that would still be inappropriate even if she claimed to consent. The police are notoriously abusive to women. The abusive staff members allow a crooked cop to exploit an autistic woman for trying to escape the group home racket and psychiatry.
(Note : I deleted posts with the victim's name in them. I'm not about to desist from condemning the abusers.)
A predator with blue privilege retaliated.
Andrew Lindberg is at least 1 of the crooked cops violating the aforementioned woman. She can't be unaware of the domestic violence by the police. Therefore, she doesn't consent to them touching her in any manner.
The MIddletown police covered their own asses.
If enough ppl see my posts, Lindberg will be brought to justice.
The CEO, Justin Salvio, interrupted me to question my intentions to shift the blame to me when I condemned him for abusing residents; including the one I risked my life to protect. He said some crap about the "clients fleeing from abusive male partners" like he forgot that the aforementioned woman fled from a group home again and sought my help escaping the group home racket. I didn't abuse her, the staff members at the group home abused her.
The crooks will probably retaliate again.
Ironically, a social worker agreed with me and she told those crooks the investigation should be reopened because a cop shouldn't be allowed to exploit the woman who fled to me and away from the group home racket.
      I don't harm anyone, I'm owed a lot of apologies. I don't deserve this.
Gilead Community "Services" retraumatized me. I was feeling better until they sent the cops to abduct a woman who ran away from them and sought my help.
She didn't really ghost me over miscommunications or mistakes, abusers forcibly removed her from my life.
A victim who got abducted and forced back in can't "work with them" to "get out the right way".
I got tortured in group homes and I knew there's more torture inflicted upon women.
Lindberg lied. Falsifying a police report is a felony. I was never contacted with a reply as alleged by the cops, I had to call again months later.
I believe all victims who condemn the group home racket.

Crooked cop Andrew Lindberg rapes an #autistic woman and prevents her from moving out of a #grouphome she has historically ran away from, he forces her to defend the abusers who track her phone to force her back into the group home racket. She doesn't consent and even if she claimed to, Lindberg's still exploiting her.
The cops would have dragged her into an ambulance if not for me intervening to protect her from them.
Lindberg forced her to block her friends she alerady had, the only friend was his phony profile. After forcing her to stop using social media for months, the abuser forced her to pubicly post her facial expression after he raped her.
The victim's also forcibly drugged and had gallstones at 37.
Gilead Community "Services" is so terrible, the so-called "clients" run away constantly.

I was born in Middletown but by 6 months was living in Texas. My dad was military so we moved 13 times in the first 15 years of my life, and so far, though I have been to other places in Connecticut (mostly Seymour were my parents and grandparents were from), i have not as yet seen Middletown at an age I can remember anything. Looking forward to watching your video! Shalom and blessings to you and yours in the Wonderfully Beautiful and All-Powerful name of Yeshua (Jesus in Hebrew)!!!

That was another town I used to meet my fellow nurse friends from Yale in! We would go to a great Thai Restaurant there, I think it was called "Forbidden City", had great lunch specials. Not sure if it is still there or not. I miss those days. Glad I did so much when I did!! 😊

Sadly, Middletown relied on one factory basically for its commerce. Now that that’s over for Betty years there really is no economy there except some little eateries and such. The town Doug years ago. They fix up that main street pretty well they’ve been doing that for decades. They try to get people to move there, but basically what happens is people leave there. The old neighborhoods are gone. Like a lot of American towns and cities, it was prosperous in the past. And now they’re just trying to hang on.
There are towns and cities like this. Every once in a while, they’ll have an event or something. We’ll try to get interest back into the town. People say we’re doing this for the town that we’re doing this for the city. But the town of the city is not a living being where if you hold some event, and your neighbor show up and smile that doesn’t give it longevity. They just don’t understand commerce. They don’t understand Connecticut should’ve treated business as well. But they saw business as the enemy. They wanted the businesses out of Connecticut. Saw the big manufacturers left and went down south. And with them with the jobs. And a lot of the residents and the state look up on this as if they’ve achieved some thing. But what they’ve done is, they’ve helped destroy their communities and increase their taxes. It is a have to pay more taxes you have elderly people losing the homes that they paid off the mortgage on years ago. You have young people moving back in with their parents. These are typical Connecticut stories. This is what happens when you run that kind of government. Go up to Massachusetts go up to any of these northeastern states when you’re outside of the city and by the way you want to see depressed cities? Just look at New Haven look at Bridgeport. Ridge Portsmouth fallen apart since the end of World War II! You mean to tell me they couldn’t of saved Bridgeport? Well, they had some events thinking that this was going to breathe new life into Bridgeport but that’s not how it works. With a needed to do was create a huge industrial park area and knocked out a lot of those old factory buildings. But no they didn’t do that. They hate business. They hate commerce. It’s representative of the American system to them and they hate that. So they get rid of all the jobs and then the businesses that go in the jobs go and there’s no money there’s no work and people start living off the state. And that’s how Connecticut years ago ended up in such a way that more people were living off the state. then those who actually had jobs in the state and other words, the biggest employer in the state of Connecticut was the state of Connecticut. And that made them thrilled. They could control people everything. The only thing that doesn’t give you is money to run everything so they just text the people more and more. And a dirty secret is even though the casinos are tax exempt they have a deal with the casinos to pay the state millions of dollars. I hate to use the term shakedown money. But think about it. And also ask yourself how come politicians don’t have a lot of money when they going to politics but very quickly become millionaires? And of course. Everybody admires them because they have this high social standing. They live in mansions they have fancy cars well all those things are provided for them through your taxes. And they become multimillionaires and nobody questions this. And the people in Connecticut are least of all the ones to question something like that.

I know Middletown pretty well and I can't imagine someone doing a better job on an overview video of the downtown area. Your selection of footage, camera angles, music etc. is perfect! Surprised you skipped Wesleyan University as Middletown is known for that and it's only a brief walk from downtown. Artistic discretion right!

Hi. I've been watching a couple of your videos. Where in CT can you recommend a Filipino like me to live there? I'm planning to live there for my job as a nurse with my wife and my 1yo boy. Thanks. A safe town with less crime and discrimination for Filipinos would be lovely.

Maybe a realtor may have better recommendations but where I live in Shelton there are a lot of medical facilities and Griffen hospital is is close in derby. I personally have lived in Seymour and loved it as a family town. It’s smaller and loved raising my young children there. Not a medical town like Shelton is but close to griffin hospital. Best of luck to you!
