You forgot the most important aspect: connectivity/delay. If there's a 1 sec gap between what you hear and what you see on the screen that's pretty horrible in my opinion. If they disconnect every 1-2 songs that's also pretty crappy.
I think this glosses over one VERY important feature, the Samsung IconX's have on-board storage. If you listen to music that you put directly on them rather than from your phone, it'll extend the battery life by an hour or so. Insanely convenient that it can act like a stand-alone mp3 player.

Go on EBay and order S2 Tws , there are numerous rebrands starting at around 20 dollars I would rate them 5 star for value to cost ratio and overall sound is decent , battery life is in the three hour range , they come w a very compact case and are waterproof ( shower tested , although they don't stay in as well as I had hoped w silicone tips ) oh and did I mention they start around 20 dollars ! Spend wisely my friends !

My first wireless earplugs worked fine so I assumed that was normal, but since then I've tried two separate (more expensive) sets, each of which had about 0.5 secs lag. This makes watching a movie on a train etc impossible.

Sad fact that standards slipped so much. Take basically any pair of headphones and you can open them up, replace, fix, mod and customise them yourself with ease.

Also the Ipod Air look like someone cut the wires off a cheap pair of 5 dollar headphones from 10 years ago, won't stay in your ear, have no volume control or song control without a phone or siri.
gottahavitvt you are right but who doesn't have their phone on them at all times so the storage is useless, and for airpods it depends on the buyers taste if they like the style, if you don't like the look doesn't mean it's bad that's just your opinion

The Apple earbuds don't really sound better than the Samsung and to even enjoy them you need to be in a quiet room. The Samsung IconX have the ability to provide great bass (for small headphones) and they work very well with touch and integration into S health and music. The very good factor the Samsung IconX has is the snug fit that provides protection for exterior noise. Which is important when running on a treadmill or on a airplane or anything of that matter. Trust me if you are active the Samsung IconX are the way to go - they are also waterproof. This review was horrible.

try soundpeats really good under 50.00 range is amazing away from phone. I go 51/2 hours on charge and charges in less than 90 minutes. sound is good.
