Run and Install Ubuntu on Google Cloud Platform

- Here's a tutorial on how to install Ubuntu on Google Cloud Platform. There are few steps on installing Ubuntu on GCP but it's easy, and you can finish the installation in less than 20 minutes.
I used Ubuntu desktop, which took 2gb of hard drive space but I find that it works better compared to other Linux desktop out there. I also used nomachine.com for RDP. You can use other RDP software like VNC or Teamviewer but try not to use any software that doesn't have SSL on their website.

seriously, i've been looking for this for YEARS, this is perfect and easy to follow thank you
Glad I could help!
I did it !!!!!
Thanks so much ! I did it following your step by step instructions.....pausing the video a hundred times( it took me about an hour. LoL) And it worked the first time. Now I have a Linux box in cloud form that I can access from anywhere in the world and from any device and all my settings are just the way I left them. This has so many benefits it's amazing !
I usually don't leave comments or "likes" but I had to come back to help the algorithms.
This is a dream come true. I've been dreaming about this for years... seriously.... wondering why not everybody does this.....and now it's done! Fully functioning from my Android phone as well as my old crappy HP stream and it works like a dream. So cool ! Thanks so much !
(I subscribed to your channel too)

bruh you save my life
Thank you. Excellent video. Allowed me to set up and connect on my first attempt unlike the horrible and unsuccessful experience I had over the past two days in trying to set up a Ubuntu Linux server on Oracle!
How do I connect to my Linux instance from another computer not running Nomachine, such as a friend's or relative's computer. Are there other options for this?
Just install Nomachine and connect with ip e.g. xxx.xx.xx.xxx
btw to get the link of the download for nomachine you can just right click and select copy link address. instead of going into the page source.
"A connection timeout has occurred while trying to connect to '35.239.65.169' on port '4000'. The issue could either be caused by a networking problem, by a firewall or NAT blocking incoming traffic or by a wrong server address. Please verify your configuration and try again. "
Why do it? how to solve
