Fun fact: this song was written by Devante when he was 16 and recorded by jodeci for their demo that they showcased to the record label that signed them. Almost all their classic songs came from that demo. The original Forever my Lady, stay, come and talk to me, gotta luv, my heart belongs to you (re-recorded for their second album), luv u 4 life and many songs on their first album like u and I, x we share, I’m still waiting etc were from that demo he did when he was just a teenager. Their music is timeless, Devante swing is a musical genius to be able to record such sophisticated music at such a young age, also re-recording a song that jodeci made when he was 16 (mid 80s) and releasing it almost 30 years later and it still sounds fresh and new is rare.
So upset this hit was slept on. Jodeci will always be my favorite group, artist, whatever. Just raw talent, never heard a song of theirs I don't like. Jojo voice ❤️

I’m 81 yrs old grew up in a famous family in the music industry and I’ve seen many many groups, but Jodeci is the first group that I’ve known to have every phase covered, they had it all, there was nothing they needed, Devante the musical genius breathed untouchable Iconic life into this group, they had it all. The writer arranger producer musicians singers style so on and so forth Unmatchable, the first and only group that came with their lol album already just needing a label. I can truly say Jodeci is ICONIC & legendary.

First of all,after being on a hiatus for 15yrs and to come back with a song like this should have gotten them some kind of musical award when this came out in 2015..NO OTHER GROUP has been gone that long and made a hit that stayed #1 on the chart for multiple weeks.I feel like jodeci doesn’t get their proper respect in this day in age because of what is considered as MUSIC today.Its like every since t-pain has came in the game,R&B is more gimmicky & water down....less talent is needed because you have a musical tool to make your voice sound better vs the REAL YOU......Nobody,AND I MEAN NOBODY CAN FUCK WITH JODECI NOR DEVANTE’S PRODUCTION SKILLS.....DEFINITELY CAN’T FUXK WITH HIM ON THEM 🎹

whew! why is Devante so fine he hasn't aged a bit. Case and jojo voices are still amazing and full of soul . This group is still one of the greatest and their music will never be out.
