Even as a kid I wished there was a roller coaster that could jump off the tracks and land back down on them again. It’s cool how they are finally making this idea possible in a way that’s safe.

They are representing so much Donkey Kong Country and we still haven’t gotten a true Donkey Kong game since 2014!
Maybe the land and merch sales will indicate a feel for a want of a new DK game. It would be nice

Yeah even if it's 2 rows that 2nd row is gonna lose a lot by not seeing it up front.
I think what would complete the experience is onboard audio that has it's own rattly track sounds that would cut out when you're 'jumping'.
Hoping the jumping track effect works as well as it appears to work here!

This looks like everything I want from a Donkey Kong Country mine cart coaster, provided that the final product will match the concept!
If the track jumping effect is done well and convincing, this would be awesome. I'm a fan of DKC so this is so exciting to me!

Amazing work on this! Can only imagine the amount of 3D modeling work it took to create completely custom track, scenery, and especially the coaster train. Would love to ride this one day!
The ride seems short, but maybe there will be more than we expect, also there will be indoor scenes with animatronics so it could stop or slow down, but this is just a guess

this is so cool but I wish they added something that would tilt the car every time you jumped to make it more game accurate. think like the secondary track on X2 to make the cars flip

When my family and I go down to CA to visit family and friends, we always make time for Universal 🌎 Studios 🎥 Hollywood 🎬. We DEFINITELY would not say no to a Donkey Kong Country there.

If they can make the car bounce when you jump and make it feel like you're actually rolling on the mine cart track with the sound effects from the game that would be epic. otherwise you're just floating and it will all seem fake.
All the times I’ve watched digital roller coasters with this effect, “knowing” we could never experience it irl- to now seeing how it could be executed is mind boggling. I can’t wait to ride this.

Excellent idea for a coaster! 2 improvements. As someone else suggested cart rattling sound effects over the track but goes silent when supposedly off the track. And I don’t know if anyone else suggested it, but when the cart floats over the pool at the end. There should be water flying to the sides as it skims the water. Can’t wait to see this in the real world! 👍🏻❤️😎

Donkey Kong Country was my introduction to Nintendo games. Combine this with my love for roller coasters, and I am unbelievably excited about this.
something I feel they should add is like the support actually moves up every jump from the track to give it a more realistic feel. As well some rattling sounds when you jump and land on the track

this is so freaking cool… BUT… is anyone else worried this is going to be a capacity nightmare?!
They can have at least 40 guests on the track at once. (10 cars with 4 guests per car). It's a fairly short ride. Really cool, but on the shorter side which is fine for a family style coaster. I think capacity will be fine. It may not be like VelociCoaster or Hagrid's capacity but I don't see it being as bad as some are making it out to be.

The thing to make the jumps and landings more believable would be a slight jolt as it hits back down on the tracks. Not so much to be uncomfortable, but like another effect to trick the brain that you came off the track and landed back on. Could even be done through vibration or sound on the train

Clever eye illusion trick, I can see this raising the bar for roller coasters out get in United States as well , I wonder if the rider will feel the air hangtime and land impact
If they wanted to make it realistic..they would make the arm "extend upwards" every time a jump is made..to give the feel of an actual "jump" and add actual sound and different feel every time. Otherwise it will only be a visual effect and too smooth every time the car is supposed to "jump"

Definitely looks like it will be great if you are in the front row. I wonder how well you'll be able to see the effects from the back row? I'd guess not nearly as well, which would greatly diminish the experience if that's the case.
Very nice....But again, it's a simple wild mouse theme type of coaster, albeit it with mine cars instead of wild mouse cars.
It would be cool if the cart has hydraulics to add to the jumping tracks effect to make it look and feel real.

The concept of this is pretty amazing, and I really hope it turns out how it has been imagined. I see a couple of potential nitpicks though. Unless they’ve built haptics into the carts, it isn’t going to feel like you’re jumping off track and landing on the other side. Also, some of the immersion will be lost if you’re not sitting in the front row, as you won’t be able to clearly see the broken track coming up. But then I guess that depends on how many rows there per cart and if the back ones are elevated. I’m still looking forward to riding. I just hope that it feels like you’re riding an out of control mine cart.
Been so long since we've had a real innovative idea in coaster design and it couldn't have been done with a better franchise tie-in.
they made it like high tide ride from tropical freeze immediate 10/10
