FERRY MEADOWS RAILWAY PETERBOROUGH OFF TRAIN FOOTAGE OF 10 1/4 INCH GAUGE LINE 27th August 2021

Ferry Meadows Railway opened to passengers in 1978 and since then has proved to be a popular attraction less than three miles from Peterborough City centre.
On the day of our visit services began at 11.30am with a single locomotive in action, the half size Darjeeling No.44 B Class built by Laurence Hall over 17 years. Laurence joined the railway at the same time as his locomotive.

This is almost unrecognisable from when I used to visit 20+ years ago. I wonder if any of the old rolling stock still exists from that time, when the track had almost no growth around it and so people could just walk across the track at any point along the journey
