I totally agree with you farmers. I was brought up on my parents farm but unfortunately they had to stop farming because they wasn't making any money . After my parents died the farm was sold I had to pay £12000 in taxes I totally support all British farmers ❤
100% behind you farmers , when Starmer sit's down on Christmas day perhaps he should give a thought to where his Turkey, his vegetables and all the other food comes from. It doe's not magically appear in the shop's , supermarkets or the butchers, it comes from hard working farmers who on Christmas day will still be working caring for there animals , milking the cows and so on. So Mr Starmer just think about what you and Reeves are doing, because without the farmers you and million's of others wouldn't be enjoying your Christmas dinner. Support them Starmer don't destroy them you need them, much more than they need you.
Meanwhile, back to where the big supermarkets haggle you down to no profit...and we are now out of the EU [which many farmers wanted] and the UK economy is now down £100billion/yr as a result...and where the majority of farmland buys are by very rich people as a tax-free investment......nothing of which can be fixed by this govt
No houses would exist without construction workers. No roads would exist without road workers. No tractors would exist without tractor factories and workers who live inside the houses that were build by the construction workers. No electricity would exist without powerstations and the workers who work there. So what's your point? Why should there be special rules for farmers but not for anyone else? Here in the Netherlands there are far too many farmers and animals. In areas where there are a lot of farms the people get seriously sick, and they live on average two years shorter compared to other areas with less farms because of all the pollution caused by the farms. The water is heavily polluted from pesticides. Nature reserves are struggling because of it. Construction companies can't build enough houses because the farmers own most of the land while there is a shortage of a million houses. As a result houses have become incredibly expensive and it is not affordable for most of the people to buy a house. The national average price for a house is 467000 euro, which is absurdly high. So now our government is buying out the most polluting farms and they get 120% from the value of their farm if the farmers volunteer to stop farming. Farming has become a multi billion dollar industry. And it is one of the most polluting industries of all. Most of the products that are produced are for the export, not for the domestic consumption. On average people have to wait 12 years before they can get an affordable home. Too many people get sick. Nature is getting destroyed. I am super happy with the fact that the government in the Netherlands is doing something about the problem. Enough is enough. I do not have a principle problem with farmers, it is just that there are too many farms with far too many animals. The farming industry is causing problems for everybody else.
