I know this was so long ago, but this has really made my day. I’ve been struggling all day trying to play my steam games, and I did the task manager one, and it fixed it. Thank you!

Thank you for making this video. They need to fix this bug because it completely locks you out of games and threatens to wipe all your data. WTF??

Thanks! It worked for me, too. It was the deleting all the folders that did it. Steam downloaded and the option came up automatically to sync. It worked after that.

Deleting Userdata helped me out with my issue. I got the "unable to sync to the cloud" message from my first .exe boot from a newly installed game even with having obviously no cloud data. No other game had the issue at this time. Future game loads said the cloud data was up to date, but will still pop up the message. I had over 1Gb of cache removed during the delete. Thanks!

@thijsvdn9852 for me it gave me the error after I played one piece pirate warriors 4 on my friends laptop and when I tried playing it on my pc back home all of a sudden it didn't let get my cloud save anymore just keeps telling me same error

Are you using two graphic cards by chance? If so switch steam back to the gpu you had it on originally.
