1:40 I think it’s because in some stories it is said that Artemis after her birth aided as midwife for the birth of Apollo. That gives you eternal little brother status.
Sometimes when Chronos speaks to Melinoë, I can’t tell whether he’s impressed by her, intrigued, or just subtly mocking her. It’s very interesting, like getting a glimpse beyond his domineering front and cold arrogance. I like villains that aren’t flat. There’s a lot of bitterness and thirst for vengeance in how they wrote Chronos and it’s very interesting to watch unfold. Can’t wait for more!
Right, I seems the stars just aligned for Melinoe, where she’s not personal enough for Chronos to care about. Chronos is after vengeance on his own children and the Fates, not Mel. At the same time, he’s amused someone would be driven this much to stop him, especially someone who he has no personal connection with. And so he doesn’t mind the entertainment if Mel is going to be consistently annoying. He has the confident that he’ll win time and time again. He’s twisted and frightening, but he appears honest when he claims others would not be involved in his vengeance. And appreciate it!
Support Fire is actually an excellent boon to pair with the Sister Blades, much like the Demeter Gauntlets from Hades 1 their rapid attack speed means you turn every fight into a bullet hell for your enemies. Those 10 damage arrows stack up. It's oddly mundane yet fitting how Chronos describes his excuse for visiting as "I was in the area". A little of him over there, a little of him down there, he was all over the area. Considering some of his minions in the lower levels are satyrs, perhaps the ones infesting the uppermost level in the last game were the source of the "blood sacrifices"?
The blood sacrifices was intriguing! Wonder if we'll get a new character behind the sacrificing, I highly doubt Chronos "singlehandedly" revived himself back. But it's possible the satyrs were enough. I loved Support Fire too since Hades 1! I'm not sure why tho, but recently those arrows don't find new targets after I kill some, so I haven't taken it again. I'm down to give it another chance.
@@kakussubrado8966 That would be craazy! I'm still faithful to Hecate, I think she's good, but she is hiding something big. Ever since that dream, Hades sent Melinoe away for a reason. Hmm.
You're set on a mission to Apollo Blast every Cerberus cutscene, aren't you ? On another note, I definitely think Chronos is going to need a nerf to his attack damage. The attacks look fairly dodgable, but a single mistake can cost you 60+ health or so it seems... On another other note, I love this style of light commentary. It's unobtrusive and still allows us to see your train of thought, while still being able to fully enjoy the voice acting and music.
Please!! And I even told myself, don't finish off with the Apollo cast, but my actions were predetermined. I wonder too, I'll keep trying and get stronger with those arcanas. But mang, I'm just a magnet to those sickles. I should devote to a run that's just dodging his attacks. And thanks! I think this style is very appropriate to this game, while also providing light reactions when necessary.
I think part of the issue with Chronos's damage output is caused by Eris. By the time you get to Chronos, you're taking at least %50 more damage from all sources.
Oh boy, the plot thickens! Really wonder if giving those dreams is what Hypnos’s job is. If so, he’s really coming in clutch with the lore drop! And yeah, you can interact with the tree in the last area. The button says “survey,” whatever that means. Also, not really related, but I love the music in Tartarus! It’s all remixes of the last game’s Tartarus music but with a sort of industrial bend to it. It’s really freaky, especially since players of the first game will be extremely familiar with the old soundtrack and know just from the audio that the place they once knew has been changed completely. love it.
The trees was such a time savor on later runs! Thank y’all for telling me. I hope Hypnos is responsible too, he needs a moment and his power is underrated. TIL that Aphrodite's 'Gain' Boon will transfer the Weak over to a new enemy if the Weakened enemy is defeated. I thought it was a lot weaker than that! Well, I'm glad I gained this new info.
I wonder where Chronos took them? Because seeing Zagreus, his biological mother Persephone, foster mother Nyx, and others made me wonder if they were still alive or not, I missed their interactions.
At the very least they aren't "eaten". My guess, they're just stuffed in the basement, his collection out of the way. I'd believe they're fine, except I'm not sure what he meant by Zagreus not being so fortunate? The nerve of Supergiants!
I'm certain they're still alive. Chronos didn't seem interested in killing or torturing them. It seems that he froze them in time. He did make a comment in an earlier run about Melinoe no being part of his "collection". As for Zag, after mentioning him Chronos said "You *too*, shall break" I wonder if Zag was somehow able to break free of his time freeze and confronted Chronos, only to lose. I'm really hoping that once we 'defeat' Chronos, or at least complete a full run, the members of the House that were trapped by Chronos that we saw earlier get released, maybe one at a time, as though Chronos's power slipped because of Melinoe and they were able to break free and haul ass out of there. It would be neat to talk to them as Melinoe, get a better understanding of what happened and see what their thoughts are. For example, we could see Thanatos talking to Moros and Nemesis, then seeing what state Hypnos is in. Or have Dusa and Arachne talk to each other, both having been screwed over by the Gods but having very different reactions to it afterwards. They could even talk about Zagreus and Persephone, who I imagine would be the last two to be released.
That'd be a smart way of adding progression to the story! Prior to the early access, people already wanted Dusa and Arachne to hang, or Dora. Thanatos with Hypnos and the other children of Nyx. I saw a comment mentioning how Chronos’ damage was increased by Eris’ curse, which stacks at 50% when you reach the House. I wonder if there could be an « ideal » build with boons that kind of… « lessen » the impact of this curse. Ya, I need to take Chronos's damage seriously and start investing in "taking less damage" boons or dodge rates. There's also a new mechanic called, "Block 1 source of damage for 1 Encounter" which could make all the difference. So there's many survivability boons I should consider, rather than just damage. I'm also trying to get more Centaur Hearts as the game already begins you with fairly low health. Express Route Set? I'll see what you mean on that! Ya LOL, I'd agree with your analysis. Another thing I didn't get to emphasize if you want to take it seriously. There's "statistics" or "the best" boons you should get. If I recall, her damage ratio is one of the lowest, while Aphrodite has the highest damage ratio increase.
