Thanks for this playlist. I'd been playing the game for a while with no real clue how to be efficient or how exactly the game mechanics worked. If I needed to harvest a deer id just set up a blind at a need zone and wait for who knows how long until something walked out. I never knew you could call herds back after you took a shot. I've learned a lot about the game from these videos
I hunted bison with a 243 it was not fun
Even the .270 low key sucks on bisons and moose.
Me and my buddy thought that the any revolver is powerful, a Cape buffalo took about 40 shots to go down, we got knocked multiple times,

I just got this game on a whim and been watching your stuff just to get a better idea of the game and even initially to see if it looked like I'd like it. It feels pretty brutal at times but I like it a lot this stuff has been super helpful for me. What other maps are good if you're still learning? I've played a bit on yukon and savanna and the slightly more open areas that aren't shielded by tons of trees seem to be helping me a lot atm

Ah, the spine glitch thingy could definitely be an explanation as to what happened with my hunt earlier. Had a really good shot at a moose, by the spine, that seemingly just ran off, no wound or blood at all. Is that glitch really still a thing these years later?

glinted i’m a lvl 15 and the past like 5 days i have been having trouble finding as many animals as i used to and when i find some they’re aren’t above a lvl 2 i have no idea why do you have any ideas?!

Watch the wind direction, remember that you have calls. Also, this is just clips put together, not all of them are from one sitting, so don't get discouraged.

I think something's changed in game ive shot moose and deer straight to the heart and neck vertebrae but except maybe once or twice they stil ran a few paces before droping dead (still gets 100% qk so not really complaining) and ive never seen them move that slowly when you get your shot off they literary bolt like bats out of hell not doing a parade march off field like the halftime band

It's interesting watching a gamers perspective of this. I bought this game because I hunt irl so always approached the game like I do when out hunting. Spine shots are a no no when out hunting but here they are obviously the way to go so I'll change my game tactics a bit after this video for sure.

They recently patched the game and made spine shots way harder now like it should be. Double lungs are the way to go now unless you have a direct heart shot. I hunted for years irl life as well so this new patch is preferred play for me.
actually a spine shot is ethical irl the spinal cord is there. thats were i always shoot other then a lung or heart. btw if you do hit a spinal cord shot it puts them to the ground so you will get enough time to get a vital shot off
or they will die from shock
270 x 2 shots = 100% integrity on bears, spine/heart shots do it in 1. good advice for beginners... don't kill females, and spot animals in new areas until they establish 1 or more feed zones. my entire map is full of game, and the game engine just spawns more males in the roaming packs.

Been watching flinter for just about 3 years now, and honestly I forgot how much his voice and style has changed since I first started watching him. Though I've always loved the content, seeing him evolve and adopt a more relaxed and chill tone to his videos over the years has been really cool.

I was at the same place at the beginning of the video and dropped two gold bucks right next to each other and then they came back and dropped two more gold bucks right next to each other and then got another gold while it was running away and after that I had enough credits to buy the 7mm

I love your videos, they have been so helpful! I had like 5 hours played on PS4 before I finished my PC build so I've been playing on PC lately and your videos have been extremely helpful with helping get quicker kills, higher XP per kill and money. Keep up the amazing videos!

@@maniek5854 I was one a few months ago, and really just do what he does in here repeatedly, being a beginner isn't the funnest thing.
I know it's not but it's fun to see how more advanced person deals with that level and situation, not only highlights :)
I don't know what is happening here because we play the same game but the menu from the game and distance and things like that are totally different.

Bro you have more luck then my trying to find animals. Every time I hear a warning call on a deer I use the call and it don’t work! Can you help me and give me tip on trying to find animals?
Try to get a stand i prefer tree stand and call them in then get use to the deer
you need to have patience! haha .. about 3-8min for him to reach you after "calling"

Wish the Xbox would spawn animals like the PC. I walk for hours and don't see anything. Maybe I 'm just in the wrong spot trying to do the missions too. Also hate the glitch when you shoot an animal and they just disappear tracks and all. Well at least it don't affect you consecutive bonus when they disappear
I play on XB1 and thought the same thing as you did for the first few days of playing. Then I realized I was just either scaring the animals away or looking in the wrong places. Now that I know how to not make so much noise or where the various species' need zones are I see animals constantly. Not just one or two either, I see whole herds on a regular basis. It's not the console that's the issue it's your playstyle.

@@finalcartoon1044 just keep it under 2 bars works for me. Different animals spook differently but I have found that 2 bars is a safebet

Hey guys here's another helpful tip ( for the console players ) you can buy the 7mm empress ( skinned variation ) without needing rifle score, so you can buy it as soon as you have the money
The 7mm is amazing in the Hirchfelden. I am new player, i started in the Hirchfelden (i know now, not the best choice). Just when i was about to buy the 7mm, i stumbled upon the big bison herd during the day. I rushed for the gun, came back and hunted the whole herd. It was bit a chase, but the gun was half way paid for.
This series is so helpful! Just got cotw last night and have to say, it is very different from the bass pro hunter I was addicted to on the wii a few years back

Since when do herds return to their feeding zone, they always run off and no amount of tracking can I find them again... I can stay where I am and they don't return, or I slow chase and their droppings go from very fresh all the way down to old, even over fields and binoculars there is no visual on them, or I can chase like a maniac and their droppings stay fresh but don't catch them due to spooking them... the only herd that provides any income are bison herds and that is just because you can keep up with them running...
What mods are you using to keep your aim so steady? You don't have all the skills and perks to reduce aim bounce, how are you so steady? No heart beat and prone and my aim bounce is more violent than yours when you've been moving and start to aim?
I've also found that having 2 white bars of sound spook any animal that I can get a visual on.
Any usable tips would be great :|

Hey im new to the game i strated w/my friend the day before yesterday and what does the hunting pressure / purple area in map mean ?
Basically: too much hunting pressure causes animals to avoid an area. If you shoot 4 animals in the same spot, any animals with a need zone in that area will move it (though not far away) and as you hunt in other areas, and cause more hunting pressure, old pressure goes away
