I have both. They both smell the same. 100ml scentual obsession gonna cost u more.
Refornulation is a trick they use, they hype a frag when its new and everyone speaks good things about it but after people get hooked they reformulate it, like Qahwa, Sublime etc they no longer last 4hrs on skin, i macerated them for 6 months, same results, they do it on purpose, thats why if you see a new release find a way of trying it asap, if you like it buy asap because after they hype it they reformulate to make more money because people still think it is still good and reviewers dont make updates on new batches
Thank You, and yea I dont necessarily think its always done on purpose, I think in some cases with material regulations or cost of materials sometimes these fragrance companies may just be forced to change how the fragrances are formulated.
@@jamarr911 i disagree, its a strategy, think about it, they use quality ingredients anx everything just to encourage people and then they recoup through reformulation when masses are flocking

Like homie said its not usually on purpose. Mostly its because of regulations (so they have no choice) And to be fair some fragrances project so beastly and LOUD 🔊 they need to be reformulated and toned down a notch
The noticeable quality difference will provably change with maceratiion
Almost all my fragrances I ever bought with very fresh batches changed quite a bit over time. Be it BDK Gris Charnel becoming fruitier with time, Lost cherry improving longevity or Angels share getting smoother
Great content. I wish I would have seen this before I ordered another Elysium clone. New formulation still pretty good to me. Probably would have passed due to redundancy though
Thanks Vince, yea honestly Im getting about the same performance that I typically got with the real Elysium from the newer bottle. The older one I typically got all day with usually.
Wow the timing on this video. I purchased this recently off your recommendation. Scent profile is a big winner that I'm a fan of. Performance, however, is poor for me. 2-3 hours poor. Now I gotta try Zion because I probably won't find a older bottle of the Divine
The new batches of Zion are pretty bad on performance also. Idk what changed but Ive purchased Zion twice over the last 3-4 years and the performance has been pretty bad. Hopefully the new Divin Asylum bottles will get better with some decent maturation.

Interesting vid. I just ordered Rasasi Hawas last week. Amazon had several bottles for sale from different sellers. They had a couple bottles in the 48.00 range with light colored juice and bottles 55.00 and up with a darker colored juice. I Don't know if it meant anything but I had heard that Hawas has been reformulated so I ordered one of the higher priced bottles with the darker juice.
Prolly should've just put up a few more dollars and got Hawas Ice. That juice projects strongly for about 3 hours. And you can still smell it decently 7-8 hours after that. I'm not sure if mine is first batch or not. I couldn't catch it in stock when it was first released at a decent price. Definitely wasn't paying what the tiktok shop/store was asking for it, $110 at the time.
@@CUMMNurWAY2 I really haven't been interested in Hawas ice because I've seen conflicting reviews on it. The Hawas bottle I bought was 56.00. When I get it, I'm going to just air it out and pack it away in my suitcase for when I move in late August. That's what I do with all my fragrances. Air em out, or decant 8-10ml and store the bottle until I need to draw from it again in about a year. So it really didn't matter too much which bottle I got, but if I'd rather start out with the darker juice if I can.
i bought mine about two weeks ago using your link, love the scent but i noticed it’s not super strong, wonder if maceration would help so let’s see what happens

I have the original batch. I also have a 78% volume batch of Elysium Parfum Cologne. And I also have Dua's Supernova. Of the 3, Supernova is by the far the strongest with the best longevity. They all smell pretty dam close to my nose. But I like Divin Asylum more than the other 2 tho. I found wearing the OG and Divin Asylum in around 60 degrees is where I get the best longevity. I wouldn't waste my money on the reformed. I have enough of this scent profile to last me. Appreciate the heads up bruh, had me running around checking my bottle and box. I got my bottle in June of last year for $70 before tax and shipping off of eBay. Seller wanted more but I worked it down to 70. Keep up the good work, great job bruh!

I had the supernova it was 30 ml. You had to scrub it off your skin to get it off, no exaggeration, lol. I will say I like the smell of the Divine better. I wish I had the same longevity
@@Det1911 yea Ive heard a lot of the DUAs have a weird sort of underlying smell to them. I just wish Alexandria’s Zion still performed like it did back in like 2017 smh.
People need to wash their ass before putting smell good on. Of all of my Dua's, I have never noticed anything that smelled weird or off putting. The only one I didn't care for was the Tuxedo clone. I just wasn't feeling that scent profile. But yeah, Supernova is hella strong. I have that and the one they did with the Aventus DNA. People put Elysium for warmer weather wear. I think it's best for cooler days like mid 50's to low 60's. That's off of my skin, I know chemistry plays a part in it. I get over 7 hours of catching whiffs of it. Divin Asylum is the better out of the 3 in my opinion. It's like all of the notes are more cohesive than the OG and Supernova. Doesn't have that strong vetiver drydown either.
We have to be a little patient with the maceration process. I’m getting 7-8 hours of longevity in the first week. The first 2 days were a little weak in performance. But it just keeps getting better. Batch Date on my bottle is 04/24. I purchased in 05/24.

I got mine earlier this month and noticed the changes too. I replied about it on your old video from last year too. Now upon my first glance it looked as if the juice inside the bottle is darker and assuming would be stronger. I sprayed BOTH my newer and older bottle and the newer seemed stronger too. I never thought the old batch was strong and i always reapplied it hours later. Maybe they (FA Paris) have a quality control issue they haven't figured out yet?
More than likely they were forced to use different materials due to either regulations or cost.
I also got my hands on the newer batch and got particles floating around.

Could you please do a follow-up after 3-6 months to see if anything changed in the mean time? I have half a bottle of the 23 batch and would be very interested if aging will bring this up to par with its 23 counterpart.

The new batch bottle has a higher or thicker bottom. Idk how much of the old bottle you have sprayed until now or how much it was full on arrival, but it could be a good example of "shrinkflation"...

It would be interesting to do a shoot out between OG, Imperium, A Fraghead's Asylum, and an old bottle of Divin. Likely, the Elysium DNA scent profile is not a performance beast. It is what it is.
I still have my bottle from last year that is about 90% full. I will probably check out Scentual Obsessions Heaven or Alexandria Zion,etc.
Just keep in mind that Zion is cloning the Parfum and not the Parfum Cologne so it will smell slightly different. Also the newer batches of Zion dont perform that good either from my experience.
@@jamarr911 You’re right Divin Asylum is the only Clone that I know of the Parfum version. I will skip the Zion but I ordered a sample pack from Scentual Obsessions and I think that I ordered a sample of Heaven/ Elysium Cologne. Thank you. I will probably seek out a 2023 Divin Asylum 👍🏻
I'm wondering if maturation will help? Thank you for the head's up. I was going to get a backup bottle. Not anymore. Too bad.
i have a newer bottle and i can say that maturation works. plus it's also strong with a nice blast of citrus that can make your go blind, people don't keep that in mind

If the new one is still powerful with maturation then I can't imagine how the initial issue of the clone must be like.
I did see an old review where you said it exceeded the OG. I guess it is weaker now but still stronger than the OG.
I guess the clone house didn't think people would notice reformulation. Nerp. They were dead wrong.

Broooooooo I am so shocked, I just got mine today, tested out right away... sprayed alot... strong smell at first. 10mins later, it's a faint skin scent! My gosh! I bought 3 of this too!
Just give it time I guess. Also just keep in mind that the real Elysium Parfum Cologne is not a beast mode scent. It does best on hot days in the sun, so if you are wearing it when its still cool outside or inside a climate controlled environment, it wont perform as well.
@@jamarr911 I live in Tropical Island, yeah... I guess I have to give it some time, around 3-6months. I wonder if it works if I leave it on a hot area but not on the sun. Very curious about it if there is a chemical reaction from normal heat around 90 degrees. ( Indoors )

I have a PD 03/24 and it’s fine. I also notice a lot of particulates floating around, which is my only real complaint. It lasts 6-8+ hours for me. Can’t compare the scent to the older bottle since I don’t Have that one. I think it’s just as likely that there was so much hype that some people built this up in their head to a point it couldn’t live up to and were let down.
Nice my newer bottle also has a lot of particles in it as well. Ill def give it time though. My first bottle probably wont be getting used completely anytime soon

I have a 1/24 batch of After Effect and it's not beast mode. I'm really disappointed since I bought an old batch, but it got stolen in the transportation. I had to buy it again with again, and the new bottles say "French Avenue" instead of "FA". Could you please make a video like comparing the new batches of AF? Please
If I can get a sample of the new batch then possibly. Im not buying another bottle though.

I have a new batch bottle, arrived almost a month ago. As always I spray some when it arrives and wait at least a week before using it. I used it twice since arrival and both times after 2/3 hours the scent was really weak. The opening is lovely tho, it is not muted at all. If it doesn't get any better in a month or so, I will just layer it with the clone of Imagination I have to get a very good opening and the usual Imagination drydown. I also have a newer batch of After Effect and it lasts for 6/7 hours more or less, it arrived in the same period. Glorious Oud Royal Blanc will arrive this week and I will get Paradigm asap when it will be available. I hope with maturation all of them will get better.

If you look at the manufacturer date they are pretty recent. Ima take off the sprayer cap and I'll give it a shot in 2 weeks. Comparing a year macerated bottle and a recent not going to smell the same. Regardless the price vs original still not a loss.
Why take off sprayer cap? What does that do?
@@persephonesdad5792 it lets the air way not to be blocked. I've done it with some dua to help macerate and it has worked faster than with the cap on.

I understand that, that still doesnt explain the fact that my bottle from last year performed good right away and this one doesnt though. My bottle that I bought last year was produced in April 2023, and purchased at the end of May of 2023. The bottle from this year was produced in March 2024 and purchased in April of 2024, so the time difference between the production date and when it got into my hands is pretty much the same for each bottle.
@@ssj.gomar98 air does not automatically get drawn into the bottle unless the bottle is leaking liquid out. It’s air inside the bottle that encourages maceration …and to get air in you’ve got to spray liquid out.

95% ( im being nice its prob almost 100%) of fragrance companies always reformulate for one reason or another

They got me good! I was so excited and waited very patiently to get this fragrance, and I swear I'm not getting more than a couple hours, and that's with over spraying 😤
That's one thing I've noticed with popular middle eastern fragrances that sells out quickly! Because of the hype! Once they finally bring any of them back in stock the quality of the juice is never the same regardless how long you let it sit 👈👈👈 it happend with the original hawas, imperium, maison alhambra jean lowe Immortal and actually the new hawas ice ! I have the first formula before it sold out and it's minty aromatic citrus freshness on top is a lot stronger and noticeable than the second release! Once they got the fragrance community hooked on a popular fragrance they lesson the quality of the oils in my opinion.

Yep, I bought and instantly was disappointed. So expensive for a clone to only last a couple hours. My Scentual obsessions heaven exact is far superior and guess I’ll be buying a backup bottle of that. This is maybe now an Elysium Parfum clone? And not the Parfum cologne?

Honestly the performance was poor with the first one, mine lasted maybe 2-3 hrs, I got it when I first saw a review a year ago, it’s was an immediate catch and release.

It’s maturation, maceration takes place during the production of the fragrance. And I bought the 2024 version over a month ago and let air into the bottle to start the maturation process. It still at this point seems to be weaker.

It's never is a strong fragrance...same as the original. 3-4 hours scent at best if u are lucky.
I agree that the original is also weak. I only got about 5 hours out of that one when I owned a bottle but last year’s Divin Asylum def lasted longer on me than the OG.

I just throw that sh*t in the garbage. I have the newer version and 1) last max 1-2 hours 2) in backlight something floats in the liquid 3) I have a sample of the original and there are differences.

Ye bro, its definitely been going on for a while. It’s probably the same thing as with original houses though. As materials become banned or more expensive, they end up having to.
