I think it’s on a bigger scale bc before kids making fun of each other stayed at school but now it’s also online and the expectation for some kids is unrealistic even for adults to understand, they need to have certain material things or look a certain way. Kids have unalived themselves way more now than when I was a kid over bullying
Back in the day you get bully in school or you're popular and then come home and rest and be yourself . Now you're in that mindset 24/7 seeing it online. It sucks to think like them tho I hear it lol.
@@shaggyguy662 yes! It’s just exponentially way more messed up and some parents also bully kids or they feed into the insecurities or expectations and buy them whatever it is that will fix the bullying and that is kinda affirming for the kids that hey you are inferior and you need this or that and external validation in order to be good enough.
@@AyGeeTrolls I was thinking that's sad if parents and adults are doing it too... but realized they probably just out of school too.🤦♀️ # puppy dog eyes#
What Bart said at 3:45 was so real and on point! My nephew has short term memory too and everytime he tells me something sad I feel so bad but he forgets somehow 😅
As a teacher myself, I would say the most noticeable difference are children growing up too fast, whether it's fashion or make up, or getting into what's the new "cool" thing, children now a days start at such a young age, by the time they're in high school, they're on a different level compared to when we were young. I'm only 30 and I can see that a 16 year old is almost indistinguishable from a 21 year old. Puberty is hitting earlier for some kids, earlier and harder. Boys can easily hit 6ft tall at 13 years old... kind of ridiculous when a 13 year old is as tall as I am, and I'm 6'2.
I think that's why they need to bring back school uniform. It wasn't until highschool when I finally got to wear whatever I wanted but schools before uniform was mandator. Now i see kids at school dressing however the want
Thank you for being a teacher and trying to teach the youth of today. I'm sure it isn't always easy, yet hopefully it is at least worth it when it comes to the students that actually want to learn.
9th grade I was in an advance math class, hot girl who was junior just says your breath smells bad, just a factual statement not making fun of me. Changed my dental health forever! floss and brush 2x a day always have gum and tic tacs, now get a lot of compliments saying my breath smells good.
I used to coach high school cheer and once a student asked me “how do you get thicc?” i was so caught off guard i just said “you turn 25 & your body will do it for you”
The thing is kids want to be 20 years old influencers. The influencers are getting everything for free and these kids want to be and act like them. I have 8 year olds (twins) they don’t have ticktock and I can see the difference in what they ask for compared to the kids with ticktock, my nieces daughter asked for a Gucci bag, Lululemon, and expensive skincare 😳 my kids still play with Lagos and dolls.
It is a trip hearing everyone talk the same. I use to can tell which city or state you are from going off food you eat and dialect. If you where bad or good now everyone talks the same. I don't want to know what it's like now in that profession.
Part of it is also a lack of parenting. I saw a vid of a dance teacher that was crying cuz she was so upset. She said she was trying to teach her class of little girls ballet and cultural things, and all the little girls wanted to do was listen to those nasty songs with the nasty lyrics and to twerk. And when she tried to get the little girls to sit down and behave so that she could teach, one little girl mouthed back at her saying that "I don't want to sit down and you can't make me". When the teacher said something to the mother about it, the mother said, "if she doesn't want to sit down then she doesn't have to and it's not your job to tell her what to do."
9:20 crazy he said airwalks were the shoes to have, because I’m probably a generation or two after him and I got made fun of for wearing airwalks in middle school, because they were considered knock off vans and I remember NEVER wearing those shoes again because my mom purchased them from Payless 😂
I’m 29 years old and TikTok messed even me up so god knows what it is doing to kids. It made me view people and the world in a very hopeless and negative way. It was full of people hating eachother. Woman vs man , race vs race , culture vs culture, political extremists on both sides , gay vs straight, generation vs generation. It was so bad. You’d load up the app and you’d have someone straight away telling you your a bad person for X Y and Z reasons and it’s like “mate I just wanted to watch some funny cat or dog videos why the f am I being shouted at” 😂 I think the issue is it’s always been there (in my opinion politics was never this bad especially when you were younger. Nobody gave a crap about politics as a kid but now it divides them) but when you go home you’d at least be able to breath and ignore it for the day / night .. now tho it’s always there and all over your phone or pc is something negative like TikTok. Only way to escape it is to have no phone or internet but who is going to do that ?
The restaurant name that Ron was trying to remember, that had been "hated on", on social media was The Cheesecake Factory. It was because some woman put out a vid that went viral when she claimed it was below her standards, when a date tried to take her there. Which spawned a bunch of reaction vids.
She got shamed for it, and deserved it. The guy had reservations for a fancy restaurant, but she was an hour late getting ready. Then she complained about the Cheesecake Factory, even though it was her actions that created this situation. That guy should have left her there.
@@taoist32 Yeah, true. And then she couldn't believe that he ended the date and took her behind back home, instead of putting up with her nonsense after she tried to shame him and put him on blast. She was too full of herself for her own good.
I think people always think the new generation is a lot different or have some new negative traits. Yet it turns out to be just a remixed version of past generations. Like the twerking thing. When I was in middle school kids were dancing like that it isn’t new.
Anthony’s story referenced one throwback episode that talked about songs that were core memories in their life. Episode with David So- really good if you haven’t watched it yet.
Hey Ron! He's awesome. All my life, I was in great shape until I had lupus, so I never thought about being self conscious until one day in 9th grade, my best friend was a heavy girl and she had a pink hoodie on and we walked past the bleachers and the quarterback said really loud " how now, pink cow" and in that exact moment I felt so bad for her, she started crying and we left the field and from that point on I made sure that shit didn't happen to me. I never realized how much appearance mattered to some really awful people. Assholes. She was destroyed after that.
Anthony's story reminded me of when I was in 4th grade, there was this girl who was obsessed with Britney Spears. I forgot what device she had- maybe an ipod or a phone ringtone that had all Britney Spears music
Lulu lemon didn't become razzist, I think Ron is referring to the 2 ladies that were fired for calling th police on those thieves that happened to be black. The real "controversy" was the creator coming out and saying his brand isn't for every body type. It was in response to the women who were complaining that the material would stretch too much and become see-through, and those women were of a certain body type and they felt it was body shaming... which is a bit absurd when you consider these women were trying to fit into smaller sizes to get the lift and shape they desired
As a gal it was really bad. I was the tallest and broad shoulders. It was the teachers who would pick on me the most. Because i matured fast (i’m talkin like right after 4th grade) and i had to shop in the women’s section. And all that was really there were V neck and tight pants and teachers would tell me im trying to be riske or slutty and my mom would say “well im sorry she’s not in dress code but please understand that we are trying to find appropriate clothes AND things that fit her”. All of middle school my mom was made fun of or ridiculed. Never in my life did i feel like such a burden to my mom after that. And from then on I was painfully aware of how i looked and i was never present. BUTTTTT at least now it genuinely takes a lot to make me feel bad lol.
I used to be bullied about my weight and I used to be sooooo insecure about my weight and being so skinny. Now that I weight 120 after having 3 kids I’m so happy that I have always been skinny.
I use to get knockoff shoes for 5$ and got made fun of in elementary school by rich hype shoe boy. One day that boy went for a layup and I punched him in the rib mid air. Ever since then no one made fun of me on my fake 5$ shoes until another cocky kid did the same later that year I wooped him too.

🤔 So what I learned is that if you get bullied, that just mean you need better marketing. So don't freak out, just rebrand. LOL That's literally fashion. Lame 💩 become cool bc you have the right marketing team -just like all of kanye's shoes.
