I had the same thing happen with my last batch with D-47 yeast. It was not carbonated enough at 4-5 weeks. I used Cooper's carbonation drops which I've had good luck with in the past. Maybe in a few more weeks it will be better. I also use erythritol to sweeten before bottling. Great video!
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment, it means a lot to us :) D-47 is good stuff, we have some and plan on using it for other batches (ones that we will sweeten). We think the lack of carbonation is because the yeast is starting to degrade since it has been active for almost 4 months now, maybe a second dose of nutrient may have helped?
@@CideryFromScratch After watching this video, I grabbed a bottle of cider out of the closet to see if it had improved. I had tried it in mid-December with hardly any bubbles. I can tell you it had a heck of a head of foam! Give it a few more weeks and it should be fine!

Hey Pete! Thanks again for the Mugs, they are perfect! We did sanitize the caps, we have a container of star san that they soak in for several minutes before use :) Wow - thanks for always thinking of us, you are a great friend and neighbor.
@@CideryFromScratch Star San was always my favorite. I etch the glasses myself so if you ever want any with anything else on them or different kinds of glasses let me know. Id be glad to do them for you.

Enjoyed the video. Did you sterilize the caps before capping the bottles? I need to see if I still have my capping stand. If I do it is yours.
