I've been a MBZ tech for 28 years. The biggest problem with instructional videos is, they can be hard for the novice to follow. Yours has excellent , clear, step by step detailed instructions that are easy to follow. I tip my hat to you.

This is the best how to video I've seen and I've watched hundreds over decades of hobby wrenching. Right to the point, well described, good camera work. Thanks a lot!! This allowed me to get into my passenger seat window of my 2006 CLS55 and the procedure was exact. I'd have spent hours figuring out what all needed pulled on my own, but instead I had it all of 15-20 mins. Had a very loud screeching window when it was rolled down and this allowed me to get white lithium grease on all exposed wire and pulleys (did it while up and down a couple times and once more half up). Didn't need to swap regulator in my case but first half of this video made it so so easy. thanks again.

Thanks very much for taking the time to post this. You've saved me around £300 in main dealer labour charges. Good video and clear instructions. I tried the cheaper eBay repair kit and failed miserably. I couldn't get the cable tension and positions right. I gave up on that and purchased the full regulator as shown here. All working a treat now.

You saved me $400 in labor! Can’t thank you enough on a great, informative tutorial.
I did run into some issues accessing the t30 Torx screws that hold the window due to the regulator not allowing the window to roll all the way up and in line with the access points for the torx screws, so I used a small ratcheting tool and stuck my hand in the door to access it.
Also, as a tip for others looking to do the job- cutting the cables of the broken window regulator makes it easy to remove it from the door. I used large wire cutters.

I want to say this is the best video for this job on UA-cam .....
But you left out a main part .... you have to disconnect the subwoofer in the door so you can get to the other screw that holds the window in place .

I've got three advices for people doing this job. 1. Put a paint marker dot towards both edges of the glass when the door is closed before replacing the regulator. It will give you a good point of reference when you install the glass back to the new regulator and aligning it with the door/seals/b pillar.
    2. Make sure to mark a circle around the bottom two screws holding the regulator in place as you need to exactly put it back where the screws are.
    3. There are bump stoppers on each side of the glass clamps, you need to adjust these (rotating clockwise or counter clockwise) so that when you push the guides a far up as you can, that the glass is not potruding too much. Again tip no. 1 would help you figure out where the sweet spot is.

I remove the speaker so I don't damage it by accident. I did the passenger side off this video. Great. Now I have to do the drivers side. Wonder why they charge 30.00 more for drivers side. Autohaus Gen Mercedes 300.00 for divers side. Removing the speaker also allows you to manipulate the Regulator easier.

Great video! I have to replace the regulator for my 2008 C300. I ordered the part and it doesn't have the nut on it. I haven't had the time to do the job yet, but I haven't been able to find much on the subject. Would it be much different than the CLS? Also if anybody has a link to a tutorial, that would be really helpful.
