I'm one of the developers (the dad) and I want to thank you @IGP for the support and kind words towards our game and also the comments in the video, I'm a professional game developer from Mexico but living now in Canada but mostly work on the mobile game industry, this is my first entry on the indie PC space on a game made by my son and myself, so all this videos and word of mouth really helps the game reach out more people, we are super happy people are enjoying it and hopefully you will have more games from us soon.
Keep up the good work! Looking forward to see what you do in the future!
Really cool! I love the Kaiju from the ships perspective at the end. Gives you a great idea of how massive it is.
you guys did a fantastic job with this you definitely have something solid here and I'm loving it.
I'll be sure to look this game up.

Give the editors props for the echo on IGP's voice in the caves! Small detail but so much more immersive!
I think IGP edits all the videos on his main channel, but yes his editing is incredibly immersive :)
It’s IGP himself. Skilly edits his shorts and IIGP though
Good to know! I guess I've never noticed it being talked about in a video before 😅
Yesss! Came to comments just for this! Wanted to make sure I wasn’t just hearing things lol fantastic! 👌👌
That changed my experience watching the video ENTIRELY
I love that IGP said “at least it isn’t a wide open expanse”
*immediately goes into a wide open expanse*
First heart from a creator and it’s my favorite damn one. Baller.
i have clear confusion for this staement
He knows it’s just a game right. 😅
@@clearconfusion4115 always feels awesome 😎
@puteqxI'm concerned by the fact this implies you didn't want to before
As someone who spent 7 years working in the ocean…. I can say I’ve never once stopped being terrified of what lies beneath… but bills must be paid.
You were a diver?
Good god you're a braver person than I
you were a sat diver???, man thats gotta be unnerving i heard you have basically no visibility
Don't know you, probably never will, but damnit if you don't have my utmost respect for life, sir.
Then idk what's scarier sea creatures or big bills lol.
There are some cave systems that are partially submerged in the ocean, but something like that that far down would be impossible. The pressure from the sea would easily compress the atmospheric gases and dissolve them through the very rock.
Yay someone answered him. I paused at his question to come find an answer as I love ocean phenomenons like the Marianas trench and felt that was a good question he posed I’d never considered; thanks!
@@Vivicci.x Yeah, gases can be compressed quite easily, but liquids never can. So, the ocean always wins haha
How would the pressure affect a person though. If you were only a couple hundred meters down and entered a cave, how would that affect the human body. Would the pressure affect us in anyway?
@@the36lessons11 Well it is theoretically possible to have so much pressure that liquid water forms into substances known as ice 2 and 3. Our oceans would have to be at a depth of around 20,000 meters (or 65,500ft) for this ice to form, which is about double the depth of the Mariana's Trench. Maybe it can naturally occur on 4546B, but not on Earth as far as we know.
@@johnnypatek7377 If it had O2 in it, then for it to be stable, it would have to be quite compressed and pressurized to withstand the ocean. Meaning: one breath of it would be a toxic amount of O2 and/or your lungs would rupture from not being able to exhale as well (you go insane and blind with too much O2 at normal surface pressures). It would be like trying to take a breath from a completely opened pressurized 02 bottle sealed to your mouth and every orifice (depending at what pressure and depth you were). Horrible bodily nastiness would ensue quite quickly, you would wring out and crush quite messily (again, depending on depth and pressure).
That pocket of "air" has to withstand the entire ocean pushing on it, for it to be stable it has to push back enough after being compressed by that much liquid. Also, naturally they could exist, but not for very long as the gases would dissolve into the water slowly or be pushed into the very rock (rock is porous).
Most underwater caves near the surface can have gas pockets of air, but usually due to parts of them being submerged and some parts above sea level. The air can get trapped there because of the tides coming in and out.
I love the fact that a father and a son made this game. I can just imagine the son telling the ideas to his dad, and the dad coding it. That's wholesome.
I was guessing that this is a father son team in the sense that the son is probably an adult and also does coding or modeling or animating or some other part of the games they make together.
Im not scared of the sea
Im scared of WHAT IN THE HELL IN THE SEA
what ever is in the sea, should stay in the sea
do you sea that it's crasea?
Naw getting eaten by a creature would be way better than freezing to death in artic waters.
@@s1n-n3d i see what you did there
Lol yea and I am mostly scared of snakes and not just normal small snakes it's the big and thick ones that scare me and especially if those mf are under water
I think the cave IGP was walking on...isn't actually a cave. It feels as though the submarine guy (the protagonist) got swallowed by the giant creature, and is now roaming around what he assumes to be a "cave". the smaller creatures probably live inside the big one like a "parasite", feeding off anything the giant creature swallowed (and thus, the protagonist). That could explain the whale bones and the dragon head so far from the watery areas.
the weird wall is actually an eye... Igp broke the ending cutsence
@@fruitsalad5036 Would it be imaginative if the eye can be turned 180 to look at whatever the flip is inside itself? I mean, technically, this is a giant monster, after all, and god-knows-what it'll do.
13:53 kinda yea
That's an absolutely nightmarish thought, thanks

10:46 I have to remind myself this all the time, games with underwater exploration just get me so bad. Subnautica is a good example. I just can't help it, my heart just start racing, andreniline kicks in, it's wild
The best part is when subnautica isn't actively trying to kill you, the game is beautiful
@@louiesatterwhite3885 it truly is
It's because you have a phobia of open water it's very common. IMHO there seems to be different degrees of it. The ones where you can play and only experience that is mild then are people that can't even look at it.
Yes same! Like I kept catching myself holding my breath and I had to take several breaks to calm down. XD
@@Emunah_ the screams from IGP really help set the tone.

We need a game like this but with multiple missions and a long storyline trying to stop a creature
Why stop it when you can help it?
@@UltimatePerfection very true that would be an awsome twist to a horror game like this
Have you ever played Subnautica?
@@jspur22 I think that might be the point. We never got anything close to Subnautica that would be like this.
Claustrophobia, Thalassophobia and Megalophobia.
Three of my many fears in one game.
*Perfect video to watch*
Sea Monsters have always been my favorite type of monster just the creativity and spookiness of it all. I just love the thought of looking down in the big open ocean and seeing this massive monster underneath you swimming.
I got stuck in a rip tide and my first thought was how deep far I got pulled out. The water was so deep, and murky, I couldn't see past my waist from all the silt that got picked up from the rip current. I was terrified of what could have been around me.
I've always said this dude is legit. You cannot fake the terror in his screams LOL
It’s absolutely faked. He’s a terrible actor. He overdoes it to an annoying point. How do you not realize this?
@@nathanlindahl8336 Doubt
Not everything on the internet is faked. Even horror lovers scream like girls despite watching horror movies or playing games. Plus atmosphere. If IGP had say Thalassaphobia (which he has said on multiple occasions is why he plays a lot of ocean based horror games is he really doesn’t like deep water) than his reactions can range from screaming like a girl at the lightest spook to potentially fainting. Now he just screams but he is just a jumpy person because every time he gets scared I get scared too for the exact same reason
@@nathanlindahl8336 ye its overdone and its always the same volume and duration, also only one type of scream in all his videos, but good content overall
@@nathanlindahl8336 are you just going to assume every youtuber who gets jumpscared is fake? ugh, such delusion..
I love how professional each of IGP's videos are. Props to the editor

That's Dagon.
That’s good ol big G

Godzilla?
Nah dude. It's a giant friendly turtle.
I hate the deep dark ocean. It's so unnerving and makes me uneasy just thinking about it. I don't like the feeling of having nothing underneath my feet or having something just touching my leg, brrr. Goosebumps
That's a phobia related to Thalassophobia. It's called Bathophobia. Fear of the deep. I have it too. Subnautica doesn't bother me, this and Iron Lung didn't either. But Debris was awful and I couldn't finish Narcosis because of it.
I also have a fear of the ocean. I have Bathophobia, Thalassophobia, Megalophobia, Claustrophobia, and Megalohydrothalassophobia. (The last one is fear of large underwater things) I feel you man. But I do love watching these games played.
@@amarquez707 Bathophobia is the only one I have. I can handle the open ocean if I keep eyes above the surface. Oceanic creatures are beautiful to me. Claustrophobic I am not.
But. I cannot, cannot, *cannot* handle those videos or documentaries where they're in deep sea caves and the opening is just edge of vision...augh! Nope nope nope nope! I just creeped myself out! Debris started it, but was iffy at best. Narcosis must have woke it up fully in me. You definitely have it worse though!
don't know which one exactly I have but yeah you kinda get the idea. When it comes to games I played a little subnautica but didn't reach the deeper parts because i wasn't that interested in the game. the other ones I haven't tried yet, but I played SOMA and the parts where I had to walk through the ocean floor and it was wide open I was kinda uncomfortabl, lol

Surfshark VPN love to sponsor you whenever your going to play a game dealing with the ocean deeps
I love these games like this. For just two people putting it together, that was amazingly well done and so immersive and claustrophobic. To be honest, the anxiety and sense of dread that this game evokes is better than like 90% of horror movies out there.

Given how big the creature was at the end I feel like that cave system was just it's stomach and intestines and that creature in it was a sort of parasite.
Right I was thinking the same. They didn't find a cave system they drove into its mouth lol.
@@yamiq2996 thinking about it some more maybe the cave was a cave and the wall we saw was the creatures asleep could be either one though the cave being it's stomach makes the most sense.
Or maybe a giant antibody :0
@@The.Feuer.Mayday yeah it could be that too. Also another thing that helps the theory that the cave is the monsters stomach is all the skeletons since some of them seem to be extinct creatures like that dinosaur or dragon skull and a mammoth skull.
@@Colejones9505 he was looking the wrong way at the end. that massive wall of scales at the end is actually an eyeball that opens and starts ascending
Oden is actually a pretty suiting name for a company that is exploring stuff that they shouldn’t be exploring. they contain the wisdom but yet search more for hidden knowledge, even knowledge that humanity is not ready for. No matter what risks or sacrifice. really good video by the way. : )
16:19 And IGP missed the walll staring into space.... was REALLY important.
@@ChaosSniper999 Its a bot
If you ever want a reference for what the pressure a certain depth would be… 1-30 every 30 feet (10 meters) is ~ equal to a single atmosphere… so at almost 6000 meters… the human body would probably be able to fit in a tin can.
I think, it’s been awhile since I looked over my dive training books, lol.
Would the pressure still be that great even if you weren’t in the water anymore while that deep?
@@DavoinShower-Handel I’m not 100% certain… however I do recall that the main issue with drilling to great depths is the machines collapsing in on themselves due to the pressure… so I would assume that even getting out of the water would compress your body into a jam jar
Nice touch with the echo you added to your voice when you were in the cave! Subtle but added to the immersion. Game seems really polished and the fact it's by a father/son team? Rare combo in the indie horror genre!
15:37 air pressure will probably be a bit more heavy. It is possible to have those however I highly doubt the level of oxygen is enough to support a human being.
I absolutely love the voice effects that go into the videos. Like, character is in a cave, and now IGP's voice is echoing. Top tier editing.
IGP: “It’s just a game”
Me: “It’s just IGP playing a game”
My Thalassophobia: “AVERT YOUR EYES!”
Shit got me loitering my eyes down in the comments
9:33 that was a pure scream of terror
Do you know what is more scarier than the Abyss, sharks and Eldritch horrors... IGP noises. Every noise he makes tends to give me more chills than any horror game I have ever witnessed or played.
Your underwater and paranormal videos are always my favorite!
The little details are nice in this game, the audio logs especially. Every aspect of this game is geared towards horror, and executed perfectly. No part is overused. It’s amazing.
You’re really in your element with these underwater games. Really thrilling to watch through these years!
I really love how you edited some reverb onto your voice when you entered the cave! Really added to my immersion, and it felt like I was watching found footage of you actually in a cave.

dude this was the kind of scream that made me laugh my fucking lungs up
bro wth these bots in my comments i have had 3 in the last day
You know, you could interpret these types of games as prequels for Pacific Rim. Kaiju’s coming out of the ocean, where the first few are lying in wait at the bottom of the ocean until they’re given the command to make humanity go extinct, then the army comes
IGP: “Just give me 60 seconds, and we’ll get back to the scary.”

“There is one shark i wouldnt mind seeing in these waters…”
Me- “its SURFSHARK! I see what your gonna do, clever but still get fucked”😂😂
i love how igp's voice changes when he is in a deep cave system, like it resonates like he's really in there
I love the reverb effect when you entered the cave- it adds so much attention and realism with it. I also love the constant sacrifice you do to give us the amazing content while pushing through the fear. Nothing more terrifying than screaming with you.
Underwater games, even if they aren't specifically horror, are the only thing that really make me uncomfortable and invoke that really primal fear.
"There's always a bigger fish"
-Qui Gon Jinn
This reminds me of that iron lung, red ocean game that was only at one depth. But much more in depth and I love it
For an American, IGP has a pretty good sense of how long a meter is. Nice!
The monster reminds me of the Clover monster from the Cloverfield franchise. Probably inspired by it too.
The part where you see it's face for the first time I was like "hi Cloverfield, been a while
"Give me 60 seconds and we'll get back to the scary." I'M CRYING
Pretty sure your correct, the pressure would equalize with the encroaching water
I genuinely felt all the fear here. Like when that leviathan thing popped up I nearly died in my seat. Screw the ocean. Never going in again.
Your scream at 9:30 sounded exactly like an old Tom & Jerry Wail! xD Great Video, I loved it.
This needs way more gameplay! Hope they will develop it further.
10:06 lmao "45 HUNDRED!!!?" IGP had anime bug eyes in that moment
I thought you were going to say the Megaladon lol. As always excellent content
I learned as a child from the wise words of Master Qui-Gon Jinn: " There's always a bigger fish."
16:39 You WERE looking wrong way lol you absolutely were supposed to be facing it for the creatures big reveal you missed it lol
That squid scream had me cackling in a library
In my opinion, the pressure in a cave that deep would still be crushing on the human body. I would assume that air pocket would make no difference as to how you are impacted. I could be absolutely wrong as I am not a scientist of any title. Just my assumption. However in a fictional cave, all is well aside from the terrifying creatures in there
Anywhere you go, the pressure of the air is going to be equal to the pressure of the water it is pushing against, so, yeah, the human crushing pressure of that cave would have turned you into paste. To my knowledge, there is no such thing as a natural air lock that would have allowed lower pressure in the cave.
Also, I get suddenly discovering some kind of giant mantis shrimp thing at the bottom of the ocean, but it's a bit of a leap to go from that to godzilla.
Holy shit who cares kaijus don't exist irl either enjoy the game dude
I want to see a game where you are under water and a creature appears that is so big that it takes up the whole field of view, can’t see anything else but the creatures mouth opening up or it’s body swimming by. That’s what I think about when it comes to my fear of the massive depths of the ocean
Sounds like an old Monster Hunter game, where they let you swim with them..
Me have the sensitivity to know the presence of it because my body shivers telling me “uh oh JAMES DO NOT MOVE JUST LOOK AROUND AND DESCRIBE IT NOW”

@@shady4546 oh yeah, i forgot about those. Dunno how i could forget the ones from Clover, they sounded like rabid chihuahuas.

15:17 Mariana Trench Air Pockets would be interesting. If there is no passage to the outside world, then ambient pressure prevails there. (which corresponds to that of water (Example with the upside down glass in the water)). At a depth of 5,000 meters the pressure will be approximately ~ 50000 Kilopascals.
[IIRC it takes "4 Kilopascals" to crush bones, but I'm not sure about that]
yet i doubt that such places exist, but you never know..
