    You sons-a-guns! I'm that guy that's analyzing your videos and the videos of your partners looking to see what gear they're testing for you and I've seen a few, but this saddle never caught my sight! 👍🏼😂👍🏼 I could see the excitement that you both had to present the first look at it and I totally see why! Looks like it's well worth the cost.
    I just got into the saddle for the first time last season and most of my gear has come from Tethrd because you and your partners were instrumental in educating me. The Tethrd team is probably one of the very best business operations that I've ever come across in my half century of life and I'm glad to support your work and future innovations. You guys got it going on! I've dealt with three different customer service reps, as I outfitted both my sons and myself and every rep that I've dealt with has had a Genuine Concern for the customer, going beyond what should be expected of any company. Experience driven design, high quality products, passionate staffing and a drive to continue to improve! Excellence at its finest! THANK YOU!
    Caveat: I probably won't be investing in the new gear until I wear out my current system lol but I'll promote your company with the fervor that is deserved!!!👏🏼

    Really cool concept. My only concern is this: the pockets as you mentioned give you lots of room (maybe enough to eliminate the need for an additional backpack). However, I would NOT want to wear all of my gear on my saddle while hunting. The pack allows us to remove the weight and hang it in the tree.
    I don’t necessarily carry a lot of weight in my lumbar pack but I wouldn’t want to have to keep it on while hunting. So, I really do like the innovation, and I love the idea of eliminating the need for a backpack, but there has to be a way to detach the load and hang it in the tree IMO. 👍🏻👍🏻

    Love all the improvements you have here. I know the comfort channels help, but I'm still hoping for more hip pinch relief. Maybe some way of inserting a metal bar to brace the sides of the saddle and keep them off your hips for long sits and relieving pressure off your feet as well. I keep finding myself constantly shifting around and unable to do full day sits. I'm sure not everyone has my problems.

    • @jasonard7227
      @jasonard7227 Рік тому

      I have said the same thing need some kind of bar to stick between them to keep them off your hips..been real close to just taking a 1x4 or something and cut a Y on the ends wrapped in cloth etc... just so I can sit longer...

      @festes81 Рік тому

      @@jasonard7227 I'm sure I could DIY up something. Just has to be secure once you have it in place. I'd hate to be 20' up a tree and have it fall to the ground because I tried to twist and face the opposite direction.

    Thanks for yet another new toy. It looks fantastic. I am hoping for three wishes. Wish 1: Need the new back pack straps/ suspenders to work for older saddle. Wish 2: offer the new FAS pack with the new suspenders integrated so you could hook straps to saddle or use pack as a stand alone. wish 3: offer the large side packs with semi-permanent Molly clips for older saddles.

    • @kyokomodo
      @kyokomodo Рік тому

      I agree , first thing I'm interested in is if the straps/suspenders will work with the phantom. The FAS pack standalone is a great idea too.

    How do you get into the predator pack while wearing the system?

  • @brotherpinehunt
    @brotherpinehunt Рік тому +1

    Tethrd is great. Have too much of their gear in multiple iterations. It's not 'if the hys haulers have one drawback' it's a significant flaw in their function. The attachment point is too low. There is too much unsupported mesh material above the attachment point.
    But the real question is can the new FAS packs function as the harness shown here. Instead of hooking up a new suspension system can I use my FAS pack (which just arrived back home yesterday, I've yet to look at it) as the harness.
    Great work guys. Looks like a pretty incredible system.

    • @chuckbeams

      This is my question as well. I’m thinking about switching to FAS from a Sitka Tool Belt. Please do a video using the new saddle with the FAS Pack. Thanks for pushing the envelope!

  • @conservativestatesofamerica

    When will these be ready for purchase? I just bought my first saddle the phantom and hunted out of it all year and I’m hooked. I thought I had everything bought so I wouldn’t have to spend any more money next year and I’d be ready to go! But unfortunately I’ve got to have one of these now! I love Tethrd y’all are the best in my humble opinion

  • @keithkempenich6401
    @keithkempenich6401 Рік тому +5

    Quit making shit I want to buy!! I've had most of my saddle stuff for only 2 years, I can't justify buying new stuff yet but you're tempting me sorely!
    Is the yoke a Y suspender or an H suspender? I've done a bunch of running around in military load bearing systems, including ALICE Y-suspenders and M56 Vietnam-era H-suspenders and I've found the Hs to be of superior comfort for weight distribution and having less tendency to slide around. Wonder if you guys experimented with those kinds of things at all.

    Lots of hype around saddle hunting now
    I started saddle hunting around 6-7 years ago begire any great equipment was out
    Aero hunter was the only one really making anything
    Have had Tethrd’s and now latitude
    Once lwcg came out with their ultra lightweight stands I went back
    I still use my saddle when I hunt out of the TS mainly because I think saddles are the best lineman’s harness out there

    I have been playing with the ideal of getting a saddle just because of you guys and also the hunting public Chris B also because a tree stand and just don't feel very safe I even went to the point of putting a eye bolt into the tree just to hook your harness too so you can't fall below the tree stand but I've been playing with the ideal of getting one and this this confirmed which one I will get but is it a XL

    1:22 I love the design of the saddle pouches, but I hope there's a version of this saddle without them included at some point! Having them permanently attached is awesome until you wear a pack with a waist belt. I love the innovation and improvement on past pleated saddle designs, though!

    Looks great!!! 🔥 I love it, and I my have to upgrade from my Mantis now. Only problem I see is how do you get your platform off your back when you're up in the tree and ready to set up? If the yokes integrated into the saddle, you can't take an arm out and swing it around in front of you to grab the platform. Maybe I missed something
