Thank you! When we go on vacation, we watch a lot of videos on the places we are going. A lot of times I wonder, what’s the pool situation or what does the beach look like. A lot of them fall short. I tried to be comprehensive. Let me know if you have any questions. Have fun!
Great video and you have put so much more on than other videos. We are staying there in a Jan for our honeymoon and staying for two chillied weeks. Can you tell me do you have to book in the restaurants and is it easy to get in,also the beds on the beach are they free.We have payed for everything so really looking forward to lots of eating and drinking.
Thank you!!! We just got back and it was great! It was our second time there. For restaurants I recommend either having your butler or concierge just make reservations for you for every day. The beds are extra but you might be able to get a free day out of then when you check in. Ask for Juan the butler. They have lots of good food every where all the time. They have various things going on at night and a dive shop on site if you are interested. Let me know if you have other questions! It will be awesome
Yes, we had the one bedroom penthouse residence. Depending on where you are the rooms will be a little bigger or smaller but it seems to me that they all have some sort of kitchen and table with a pull out bed if need be. We were upgraded too. In our first room, a pip broke and flooded several rooms. They took care of use and upgraded our room however, it wasn't that much different. Honestly I would have preferred the first room as it was in a quieter part of the resort.
Thank you! We had been there once before over Thanksgiving. They really took good care of us the first time, the food was good and I loved the animals everywhere. We chose to go there a second time because we knew the rooms were big and since we were taking a total of five of us, the price point really was a driving factor. I think the bang of the buck is the main reason.
Hey there thank you! So we are member of exotic travelers or Karisma resorts. It is synonymous. Prestige is basically the same but the brand name seems different. The hotel selection maybe different too. But, with exotic travelers you get to go to 23 or so different resorts in Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica and one in Greece. The have different levels of memberships based on jewels. It starts at sapphire and goes to diamond. We bought sapphire. The memberships are like a costo or sams club membership. You pay for a discount. The rate of discount is about 30 to 50% off retail from what I have seen and compared. So if a travel website has one of the resorts at 3000 for 7 nights, you can expect to pay around 2000 for example. The price point of becoming a member is interesting and different for everyone. There are lots of variables that go into it like jewel level, years active, fly back rewards and trade ins (like a timeshare or something). These terms are different for everyone. I cannot say exactly what we paid but I can tell you what we got. We are sapphire members with fly back (rebate for 1000 dollars a year with proof of travel to the resort at least once a year) and unlimited travel that expires in 2050. I think whatever deal you do, you can expect to pay in the 20k plus range but I do not know. If you do end up joining, you can refer me which gives me added benefits. Butt I want you to know that I didn’t post this video to get free vacations. I posted it because I want people to understand what the resort is like as my wife and I search the internet for good videos about the resort before we go and there wasn’t anything that good that showed what we care about. I hope that helps!!
Thanks Adam this was a great video. Can I ask for the rooms, in the room review, you start off showing the foyer with two rooms marked 1 and 2. Did you have both rooms or just one? If you get a two bedroom, are you essentially getting both those rooms with the only connection being that foyer? And does the foyer part need a key to get in or can anyone get in? I'm just wondering if putting kids in room 2 and adults in room 1 is feasible or a security risk. Thank you! Your room was huge!
Hey there! It was just one room. Someone else was in the other room. But my two step sons were there and they had their own room. Either way, rooms were not joined.
thanks for this video- so to clarify, the best villa for access to the beach would be _____? and the best one for the biggest pool would be ____? also, did you do any excursions? through resort or third party?
The best villa for beach access is 5, I think. It’s right next to the kids club but They are all a walk. The biggest pool is surrounded by villas, I think 1 through 10?. We didn’t do excursions but we have before. They are all expensive through any resort. There are better options for traveling around that can be cheap. Check into the collectivos. It’s basically a little shuttle that runs up and down the highway.
I have read so many reviews stating there are additional charges for : coffee , ice cream, Bali beds/ loungers, extra charges for premium alcohol and even needing to purchase premium bottles of wine for an outdoor table at one of the evening restaurants? I go on all inclusive vacations yearly 7 years in a row to Riviera Maya. I have never come across any charges. What’s the deal here? How can it be all inclusive with all these extra charges? Plus 5 star 4 diamond property, just doesn’t add up. If anyone has more details on this, I would love clarification
The fives is a little different than the other karisma properties as we are members. I am not sure how it works outside the membership but if you are a member, then 98% is all inclusive. You are right about some things like bali beds, ice cream and coffee however it comes with a caveat. For instance, coffee is free BUT they have a commercial coffee shop called Marley's which is not free and you cannot charge it to your room but there is other free coffee everywhere. they have an ice cream shop and for whatever reason that isn't free but if you have resort credits, you can use that. If you order ice cream at one of the restaurants then it is free. They have a smoothie shop right next to the ice cream shop that IS free. It is weird. For Balibeds... you can usually get a day in which you can have one without a charge.... Now, since the Fives is a resort and residence, I think some people own a room kinda like a timeshare and in that case, the restaurants will charge them. If you go there, to the fives, make sure you do the all inclusive otherwise, it might not be worth it. Let me know if you have other questions.
This is extremely helpful! Thank you so much for this! I'll be there next month and now I have some insight on what to expect. Great video!
Thank you

Great video, thank you. What made you choose the hotel? What room did you have please?

Oh for room. It was like, villa 5 room 1105 I feel like.
I lied. It was villa 3, 304-1
Thank you for the fabulous video, but how does one become a prestige member and how much does it cost to become a prestige member?

Is this ALL Inclusive to include all food and beverage is included or is that extra??
All food and beverages. Unless you order a lobster or do the seafood lunch special.

How many restaurants are all-inclusive?
All of them but if you want a fancy steak or lobster, it does cost
