Christmas Wreath tutorial with royal florist Philippa Craddock

As part of Telegraph Live’s Christmas Made Easy series, Telegraph’s interiors editor, Jessica Doyle is joined by globally renowned florist, Philippa Craddock for an hours masterclass showing how to make a festive wreath at home.

To make this Christmas Wreath, here are the materials you’ll need (all available from Amazon, eBay, Etsy and craft websites):
-One wreath base, either a metal one (sourced from a florist sundry supplier) or one made from a bendable branch, willow and hazel both work well. To make the homemade ones, you simply bend the branches into a circular shape and fix in place with a small section of wire or paper covered wire.
- A selection of evergreen, hardy foliage. This can include a mixture of conifer (pine, spruce, cypress, buxus, asparagus, ferns)
- Garden twine (to secure the greenery onto the base)
-Robust scissors, floristry or secateurs
-Ribbon, to create a bow to finish (any that you have to hand)

Philippa launched her business in 2009, from her kitchen table. Initially focussing on small, local weddings and weekly flowers for nearby restaurants.
Philippa built a studio in her Sussex garden a few years later and then opened a second studio in London, shortly after launching her online collection of flowers and opening a concession in one of the world’s busiest and largest department stores, Selfridges & Co.
Her business grew organically, without investment and without prior business start up experience or flower knowledge.
It was built on a new found love of flowers, design and working with an array of incredible clients.
