I use the broiler to roast mine and the NutriBullet to grind!
Yay! So happy to hear that you are trying my recipe and the nutribullet method 👍👍👍
@@Sharmins_Kitchen no offense I do it my own way but was just checking out some Utubers lol. I do that to learn if I do it wrong or right and I do try a twist here and there.
Thanks for all you guys put out there!
No worries hun, have a wonderful day 👍👍
@@Sharmins_Kitchen you as well, thanks girl for sharing your cooking ideas! I like to watch how everyone cooks!
You are welcome hun, I am also love to see and try different food 👍👍👍
I didn’t know you could have used a Nutribullet to make this dish,l wonder if it tastes the same when you use a sill.a little geera etc could be added 👍👍🇬🇾
You can add any thing to your choice hun. The sill will definitely grind it finer but the taste is still the same ✌️❤️💯🇨🇦🇬🇾
Amazing this looks delish
Thank you hun✌️❤️
My all time favourite.
Thank you ✅✅
Hi your choka looks great i made it once along time ago my mom used to roast the coconut in the fireside then grate it and then grind it with the lorha and sill ,we call it coconut chutney..❤🙏🇹🇹
My mom make hers the same way like your mom too. That is the original way to do it✌️❤️
Very good girl job well done thanks for sharing
Good night hun and welcome to my channel. Thank you ✌️❤️🇬🇾🇨🇦
Nice but I dont eat this dish. Cant say much about it but I know lots of Guyanese eats this. ❤🇬🇾💯🇬🇾💯🇬🇾
Reza M you should give it a try one day ✌️❤️
Looks delicious.... while I’ve never made it.... I enjoy eating it 🤣 I always thought a bit of tamarind goes into it...
Lisa Shadir you should give it a try, I am not sure about the tamarind but I can always try that version one day.✌️❤️
Haven't had coconut choka in years looks delicious
Meriam Charles I love it and only used to eat it when someone comes from Guyana and bring me some. One day I decided to try it in my nutra bullet and it worked well. I taught if I share this method a lot of people who love it can actually make it right in their own kitchen ✌️❤️
I will try it one day
Meriam Charles let me know when you do ✌️❤️
Thanks I made it come out perfect
Thank you for your feedback, so happy to hear 👍👍👍
Omg... you are an amazing cook and I love that you always try your dish at the end it make me feel like I’m having it. Plus you explain everything step by step...
Wahida Rahim Aww, thank you so much. Love your feedback. Remember when I taste at the end it’s for you guys, my viewers and subscribers✌️❤️
Love this but I also put a piece of seedless tamarind on it
Sounds like a great idea 👍👍👍👍
Just blend a couple of tamarind figs with the coconut and the flavor is out of the world
So happy to hear 👍👍👍👍👍
hi sharmin did u add water in the nutra bullet when u were blending the coconut.please let me know.
No, I didn’t add water it squeezes the milk without water ✌️❤️🇬🇾🇨🇦
@@Sharmins_Kitchen Ok thank u.
I had it yesterday
Rovin Singh did you make it
@@Sharmins_Kitchen my mom I make it only when my mind call for it
Rovin Singh ✌️❤️
I always make it when I was in Guyana but I never did it in a magic bullet how u did it in the bullet
Nafiza Totaram I crushed it in our Omega juicer and then blend it in the nutra bullet. If you don’t have anything to crush it you can grate it on a box grater and then blend it in the nutra bullet. If you have a food processor you just have to cut it in small pieces and put it in the food processor and that would do the job for you. If you roast the coconut in your oven in a baking pan it would be less messy✌️❤️
@@Sharmins_Kitchen thank u very much
Nafiza Totaram you’re welcome my dear✌️❤️
Coconut choka needs to grind on a seal brick
My dear I love when it’s grind on a sil too but if you live in North America and don’t have a sil you have to find creative ways to get it done. Not everyone has a sil these days, those who have one I am happy for them. Have a great day ✌️❤️
Can u make fettuccine alfredo
Reshma Jagdeo I will soon✌️❤️
@@Sharmins_Kitchen u does make i want to eat your food
Reshma Jagdeo Glad to hear, but remember that I always taste for you too✌️❤️
@@Sharmins_Kitchen r u in ny or canada well stay safe i miss my parents but no international flights
Reshma Jagdeo I live in Canada, where is your parents in NY or Canada ✌️❤️
sadly mine didn't came out good 😪
What happened ?
@@Sharmins_Kitchen I used the oven method, I think it didn't roast well because it didn't have the roast taste, then I used the food processor to blend it along with the garlic and pepper together. I also added fresh seasoning. But instead of it tasting like the real thing it tasted like garlic and fresh seasoning and it was white instead of the light brown color. It taste terrible, how my husband laughed at me. But I'm not giving up I'll try again
I am proud of you for trying. Next time roast it properly make sure it have the nice brown colour and the food processor tends to grind it a little course. If you have a nutra bullet it grinds really fine and mixes the ingredients well. Don’t give up practice makes it perfect. Let me know when you try again. ✌️❤️
@@Sharmins_Kitchen thanks for the advice, I will certainly try again and let you know. At least I learn from my mistakes lol. thanks again
Great, never give up hun. We don’t always get everything at the first try but with consistency and determination we can be very successful ✌️❤️💯
We have two masla sial
Rovin Singh Do you know where I can get a masala sil to buy. I would like to have one of my own
@@Sharmins_Kitchen I don't know sorry I think you should come to Guyana and look 4 1
Rovin Singh I can’t wait to go to Guyana when COVID is done. Do you live in GT?
