    I really don’t know much about barrel racing, but I think my favorite run was at 9:09 with the young boy riding the bay horse. They may not have been fast, but I loved how he wasn’t whipping her, and he only kicked when he needed to. They seem to have a great bond with each other ❤️✨

    Thanks for uploading these! Currently had 3 years off raising a new colt. And I’m finally starting him on the pattern now as a 4 year old. I went for the big upgrade and got a prospect and I’ve jump rode acouple times on a friends barrel horse and I cannot wait to start running again! I love to watch these. It gets me in the mood and gets me motivated.

    I like the first girl! She didn’t whip at all or kick that much! What a great rider!

    Nice runs! Did anyone notice the faded rainbow during some runs?

    In peewees I wish the ones little one kiddies had a chance there doing well and keeping there horse calm and doing the pattern even if it's slow at least there able to control there horse I hope they are able to place and win against the ones who are out of control but just lucky they held on and adults your doing great

    It's so sad how they kick with spurs look at where the spurs hit u can tell a horse has been spurred alot there is white spots on the sideit stops the blood flow where the spur hit

    2:47 she didn’t need to whip her horse like that. Sorry but if you need spurs or a whip to control your horse, you’re a bad rider. I’ve been barrel racing for 3 years and never once have I ever had to use a whip

      A lot of NFR winners use whips, just bc you use a whip doesn’t mean you can’t control your horse

      if you’re sooo experienced as u say u are, then u would know that using spurs and a whip doesn’t control ur horse and it doesn’t make you a bad rider. yes, some girls do overly whips their horse and get a little out of hand with it.

      @@mads958 I know it doesn’t ‘control’ the horse, I was using it for lack of a better term. I use a crop but I use it the right way and don’t beat my horse with it like most riders do. I just don’t like seeing people whip their horses the way some barrel racers do

      @@corpseiji3907 oml the horse doesnt get hurt when u wip them or kick the woth spurs the just feel a tap that gives them a "hey tighten up*

    • @corpseiji3907
      @corpseiji3907 3 роки тому

      @@madisonparker8226 yes, true, spurs and crops are used to GENTLY tell them to keep going or to go faster, but the way she was slamming the spurs into her horse and whipping the shit out of him was so unnecessary and CAN hurt them

    The bigger girl at 6:23 looked to big for her horse and that ground looks horrible
