Create a reverse shadow box by gluing a second frame (minus the glass and backing) to the back of the first one to make the frame thicker so that you can. " recess" the battery on the back and hang the picture if you want.
Such an awesome gift. Will be doing these for sure.

Beautiful! I have a light up pic of a snowman that I purchased a couple of years ago on Christmas clearance . The battery pack is actually recessed in the back of the pic as it's meant to hang on the wall. Well it fell off the wall last year and the lights no longer work. You gave me a great idea. I am going to open up the back and reinstall a new set of lights. Than you Jody!

Those little battery lights are called rice lights.
I cannot find these anywhere. I've bought 10 of the DT mini lights with the elongated light stem. Where did you buy yours plz ??

Hi Jodie, I love the way you make your Shadow Boxes, they're so pretty and you don't use one of those Cricut or Sissix machines which is an added bonus because I don't have one! I've been looking for ideas on Pinterest and UA-cam on how to make these boxes, and your video is honestly one of the few that doesn't require expensive machinery 😅. Thank you so much. I made the red truck with the snowman driving. I gave it to my best friends father not knowing he had a red truck years ago. He was so touched said it was the best Christmas gift he had received in years and could not believe I made it just for him. It just made my whole Christmas. Very ingenious! And you picked the perfect bag pictures for lighting. Almost reminds me of Thomas Kinkade’s artwork. Your instructions are very clear and you made this look quite simple to do. I've been gathering the materials needed to make these fora couple of years now. I first saw these made without the holes poked through the points of light. Poking the holes out would have been easier to decide where to put the lights. Oh, well, I've got them all marked now. I have a question: is the picture top heavy with the battery pack at the top of the frame? I was going to put my battery packs at one of the lower corners. I also have tried to glue some glitter on the back side of the bags. I've let them dry overnight. Today is the moment of truth. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and project. You've made the instructions clear and precise.

Why does everyone use white lights? I LOVE colored lights, not one of my deco's have white lights, to me white lights remind me of a store or a mall where all their lights are white. I don't want any of my hand made decorations to look like a store. But I do like your decorations very much, I will use colored lights though, thanks for this one for me to make

Jody, with the battery pack on the back, are you able to hang the picture on a wall?
I think it would hang better if you use a string of lights with the flat battery pack. I just pick up some from Amazon. ⛄
