In reality the A’s can just harvest the mice from their dilapidated stadium or are those rats? Can Owl open his beak wide enough to envelop a whole rat? I’m thinking too hard about this, point is the A’s deserve a better ballpark. Also Owl has some filthy stuff.
@@freeparking301 yeah I wouldn’t even mind if the a’s moved out of Oakland to some other part of NorCal and got a new stadium (hopefully with a new Rich owner who can afford to re sign Chapman and Olson when the time comes)
@@owenanderson3425 I’ve been hearing about that ever elusive Cisco Field for years now but still nothing. It would make sense if they moved a few miles outside of town but that would just cause the Giants to throw a hissy fit about territorial rights again. Hopefully the pandemic didn’t hurt them too much financially. The fans deserve a new stadium that doesn’t have all the scars from Al Davis all over it. I found out about this game and Bailey at completely different times in my life. It was such an enthralling device of frustration... a real song of the siren to my sports gaming desires. I stayed up an entire night, like a man with a gambling addiction in Atlantic City (not Vegas, far too grimy and sweaty) playing this truly delightful yet evil game and vowed to never touch it again. And now here we are, years later viewing one of my favorite content creators, and he brings up my lost nemesis. See yall in 12 hours.
Bailey: The best home run hitters every year strike out a lot, that's a fact. 2018 Mookie Betts: Am I a joke to you? We also need a Jomboy breakdown of this
I always thought Rabbit would make a great catcher. Owl’s pseudo-intellectualism is mostly just bluster but Rabbit is the one that is shown developing the tactics. But you know who the real brains of the bunch is? Piglet. Even though he’s depicted as meek and cowardly in the cartoons, in the books he sneaks to school with Christopher Robin and becomes the wisest of them all, and I still maintain that to be the case.
The thumbnail got me. I was coming in to sing the praises and tell stories of my countless hours playing MVP Baseball 2005. You're a sly devil, Bailey.
All jokes aside, I feel like the most underrated baseball game out there is super mega baseball 3. It is so good! There’s a free demo for all platforms. Please check it out if you like baseball at all!
I remember in community College my classmate and I would sit in the back of the class during our Microsoft excell class playing Winnie the pooh baseball, this was 2019 and when we finally beat Christopher Robin it was probably our best moment all semester. Also I was about to throw hands when you said no to mvp baseball 2005 but you redeemed yourself and I regret my past aggressions
That particular heffalump is named Lumpy, from The Heffalump Movie, a charming movie about how these quaint woodland creatures are actually all Republicans who will respond to any threat, real or perceived, with overwhelming military force.
This is reminds me of how Rad Rat played through all the skateboarding games he could find. I would love to see a series of videos showcasing some of the weird and wild baseball games out there. Games like Slugfest, Mario Baseball, and Super Baseball 2020 come to mind instantly.
Triple Play 2001 and the intro video with Magic Carpet Ride by Steppenwolf is core childhood memory for me. Getting to play that game and have all the top players at the time when I was a kid poring over every stat I could find in any book or resource obsessing about stats. If you’d given me access to Baseball Reference in 2001 I would never have looked away from the computer screen. Pure baseball autism
Before I go any farther in the video, I want to put out my top 5. I think MVP Baseball franchise is the best of all time. Great soundtracks, the unlockables are awesome, easy to pick up for new players, still fun and exciting for those who have played it forever. I still fire it up once in a while. Backyard Baseball 2001, MLB 99, Mario Super Sluggers (might get some heat for that one), and The Bigs 2 round out my personal top 5. Honorable mention for Triple Play Baseball 2001 and Out of the Park Baseball. I also never have play Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball, so that's why it isn't in my top 5.
MVP Baseball 2005 is my favorite baseball and sports game of all time. Only sports game I've played long after new games had come out. Well. Other than Mario Super Star Baseball.
My favorite game was Triple Play 97 on PC. I bought it for PS1 but I can't strikeout players as well. I would put it on Rookie difficulty, 56 game season, 5 inning games. I would play as the Mariners. Get an all left handed rotation and stack the lineup. I would strikeout 10 players a game and hit a bunch of solo homeruns. Some two run homeruns.
comparing characters to rays pitching staff: eeyore: colin poche (below avg speed fastball) heffalump: pete fairbanks (good fastball with strange delivery piglet: nick anderson (over the top delivery, slightly above average average fastball) kanga and roo: shane mclanahan and oliver drake (one has great fastball other throws good offspeed) rabbit: yarbs (low arm slot, left handed) owl: ryan thompson (wipe out slider)
Have you ever played Baseball Advance for the gba? Easily my favorite baseball game and one of my favorite games of all time, it’s based on the 2001 baseball season, it’s so good and I still play it every now and then, it reminds of me of when I would play it 24/7 when I was little
If a particularly inventive pitcher made a pitch that bounces off the ground, but is back at strike zone height when it reaches the plate, is it a strike? I’m assuming not.

The third option on the upgrade screen is speed, which I'm assuming is increase your bat speed
why would you want to swing and miss?
It's Pooh's movement speed (moving around the batter's box), not bat speed
Kanga and Roo are hiding some substances in that pouch.
