I'm using steel containers for paruppu items. Not drying in sun also. Just use dry hands, stock limited quantity, wash and dry before refilling. Put brinji leaves in each. Stainless steel is long-lasting and good for health. It is said storing in plastics for longterm have ill effects. I'm slowly replacing plastics with mostly steel(rice&pulses) & some glass(spice powder) Don't take this as criticism just an idea.
