I was a cop for 10 years. Part of what made me quit was seeing all the BS trumped up charges the DAs brought to every case. You guys are 100% correct - all they care about are plea bargains to win cases w/no work and conviction rates. System is totally fucked up.
I never heard of this dude before but he might be my favorite guest..very well spoken intelligent and a pretty deep. I couldn't quit listening to him, lookin forward to part two!
U should find his stories about his sentence and escape on big hercs channel, both his escape and prison stories about getting caught are riveting. I've been to prison in the same state but his stories are more exciting then anything I've heard before.

Audio is a lot better between both parties. I think it is important for people to see the positive side of correctional clients. too many times people do not believe there is more there than the crime a person was convicted of... they seem to forget that does not define them.

Hopefully you're a good person and play by the rules . One thing I detest is someone who claims to be " out for justice " whether l.e , D.A , C.O ect.. and are no different from the criminals they put away because they arrest someone who hasnt done and thing and the da knows its bogus , yet follow through with the charges . This country is full of sacks of shit who do exactly that . Miserable fuckers who enjoy it destroying people's lives they know nothing about . Of course we need all of the above , but the people who choose these professions should be able to handle things legaly and without allowing their emotions to play any part. After all , thats why we have a judicial system ( all though its a very fucked up one ) . Its definitely counterproductive more often than not and needs some serious attention . The population isnt getting smaller , so at what point will it get the people who will make the much needed changes ? Private camps make so $ nowadays its pathetic and yet they hire the cheapest ppl they can find to run them and who monitors them and way inmates are treated by them ? No one cares , at the end of the day they're out of site out of mind !
Your part of the problem, you know the system is all about convictions and putting bodies is those beds in prison. As a prosecutor your trying to get your conviction rate up however you can.

Prosecutors just want to get to the next stage of their career, people become numbers to them as well. Don’t act like it doesn’t happen. I’ve seen it with my own eyes. We need a criminal justice system but justice is the key word. Chris watts murderer his family, that’s not your average human being, you don’t see guys like that every day. Prosecutors stack the charges up to keep you in a bed as long as possible. I’ve never been to jail personally but I can see the scheme.

Dude still doesn't understand the Law, he can deny accountability for his roll and point out that it was dudes own fault jumping into the vehicle all he wants. He's not only lucky it wasn't in Virginia, he's lucky in general. As much of an "accident" as it is or not, he's completely guilty of hit an run and fleeing the scene of a crime. Then furthermore dodging police and not cooperating with the investigation. It's almost more understandable that the judge gave him that sentence, then it is that he ran off from the scene of something he "claims was a complete accident." None the less, the Criminal Justice System is corrupt and shady as hell the way they stack cases, an enforce the Law.

He said he went over to tell them to stop coming to his house but all of a sudden brothers are jumping in front of and on the side of his truck.... Thought he hit something and just went home.. There is a lot of truth missing in there my man.

How the hell can a JUDGE tell you that he knows it was an accident and you are innocent them says that he is going to give you 10 years to think about it because you didn't tell them sooner what had happened. That is some far out there shit man. Thank fuck I live in Australia otherwise with my record if i done that stuff in America i would be most definitely been put in prison for a while.
