Hi Guys. Great Vlog loaded with Info. We are visiting 2 weeks in Switzerland. splitting 10 days in Thun (our base for day trips to various activities) staying close to main train station for ease of travel, and 4 days in Lucern to cover day trips to Zurich, Mt Pilatus and local stuff in Lucern. We plan to get a Swiss travel pass for 15 consecutive days (about 500 Euro/person) fits well with our stay and travel in Switzerland. Our goal is to make the best use of the STPass and see as much as we can. Have already reserved the seat in Glacier Express for Zermatt to St. Moritz. We will try to squeeze the Bernina express too if possible. Question regarding the STPass since you have used it. When you take trains between various cities in Switzerland say like Lucern to Zurich or I/Laken to Grindelwald or similar, do you have to reserve seats in the trains or can board at will per your convenience? However during touristy time the trains are likely to be busy and if you don't get a seat to sit, do they allow standing travel. That is the part that bothers the most holding the STPass and not being able to grab a seat. Wonder how that works. Can you please shed some light on that. Will be very greatly helpful. BTW heard that you guys are from Brussels. we were there last October for a week took day trips to Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp and had a great time. Stayed close to "YSER" Blue metro station and was able to move around freely and enjoyed the stay. We were there near Atomium and on that day there was a shooting near the soccer stadium and trains were shut for 2 hrs and got stuck was an memorable evening.

Okay so regarding the seat booking. The general rule is first come first serve basis. So if you grab a seat its yours and there are plenty of seats available for the long distance intercity trains.
However, there are some seats which are reserved, so you might be asked to move as well, which will create a problem. We had reserved seats wherever possible. My suggestion is that for each of these train rides just check SBB.ch or SBB Mobile app and make the seat reservation. It usually costs CHF 5 per seat to make a reservation. 1:31 Interlaken to Luzern is 2 hrs? 😳 GMaps mein 50 mins dikha rha tha.. 😒 is it because of the panoramic train which takes a longer route?
Check again once on GMaps. I checked and it is showing 1 hour 50 mins. Anyways the Panaromic Express takes about 2 hours to reach Luzern from Interlaken Ost.

We were just there on a vacation and did not explore any grocery stores. But I still did a search for you. I could not find any Indian grocery stores but a couple of Asian ones - Asiaway and JTM Asian Food GmbH.

Ubereats is the most common platform. There are other platforms like eat.ch and switto.
