A Court of Thorns and Roses. I thought I was reading a high fantasy with some adult themes, the explicit stuff took me by surprise. But then once you get that it's ~like that~, it becomes kind of disappointing how few and far between the scenes are. I just finished the second book and there is just sooo much simmering.

Some scenes are quite graphic but I do think that its important for everyone to be aware of the reality of trafficking and the torture that men and women affected by it go through. In regards to the main couple though, it is advertised as a dark romance so it depends on your perspective if ur not used to it ig.
