Third you are usually competing in a saturated market. Fourth the industry will try to exploit you especially in music. Look at P Diddy... allegedly. And then some tec giant wants to replace you with an algorithm that steals from every artist that ever lived! Nobody asked for this! And then what happens when everyone has had their job taken?
AI is going to be the modern age pandora's box for humanity. We had a good run as especies, but i believe the planet will agree our exit has been long overdue.
I agree, I have been uncomfortable with AI since it started. I think it should be banned at least for using it on people. I think some of the art you can create is quite amazing and beautiful ❤ but I also think being able to make (for example) Aurora say terrible things without her even knowing, and suddenly losing fans and followers because of it is scary. (Literally just an example, didn’t actually happen, don’t come at me for rumours lol)
Sad and scary how artists and content creators have their stuff stolen from them for these AIs to be trained and people get mad when you bring it up, because they feel entitled to the fruits of these artists' works. People cheer as we have a never before seen wave of misinformation coming our way. It's sad.
This is a great example of people having the right to an opinion, but not all opinions are equal in value. Someone clearly lacks understanding about AI and how long it has been in development. It has been asked for, many times in fact. It is the natural progression of technology. It is equally dangerous as electricity, splitting the atom, fire, machines, etc. It has a place and it causes a societal evolution, like all technologies before.
I'm glad she understands now, but months ago she would be posting on Instagram posts like "Pokémon if it was made by Studio Ghibli according to AI 🥰😍" and things like that, and it was honestly so dissapointing to see. People in the comments were trying to educate her and tell her that AI trains on stolen art without the artist's consent, I guess she read them eventually
I am late to the game as a new fan of hers, but it has actually been short videos of Aurora just being so very human and relatable that got me to give her music a try and get hooked! She is indeed wonderful, and her view of life is so very pleasant to hear.
We the people weren't asked for permission when the camera and microphone used to capture her image and voice were created either. That's just not how invention works. You build it, and people either accept or reject it. The creator takes the risk that what they create will be unwanted once they create it. If creation depended on we the people all agreeing, nothing would be created.
This is one of my favorite clips on the internet. the wording is so simplistic and easy to digest, for something so insightful and increasingly profound, as these programs and problems will continue to develop and evolve.

Current AI is impressive compared to what we had before, and will likely be implemented into a decent amount of things. However currently there is no reason to think that there is much more to come, there may be some breakthrough, but probably not for a long time.
