As crazy as it sounds, spinel could technically do that, since its elasticity and bouncy form, it would only need little connections between its “splitted” parts, to form again, i mean, if gems can stretch and squish themselves as long as they can form it and they can form it, it WOULD be possible

It didn’t seem too weird that Male Spinel could pull his limbs off, considering the fact that Spinel is based off of Old-Timey cartoons, and taking off limbs was something that characters from that time would do.

I love how your version of male spinel moves and looks more like the mask more real life cartoonish aesthetic that looks goofy but kinda disturbing while og spinel has a more animation way of moving if that makes sense in a way
Especially with the eyes and mouth, it makes me think of the mask where he puts it on for the first time. He even freaked his neighbor out in that one scene.

I love this, I love the jagged lines and character design of male spinel, gives a real sense of manic and generally being pissed, as well as the cartoony nature of it the eyes popping the body parts and the springy eyes and mouth, taking advantage of something designed to be playful and using it as a powerful weapon, its very nice. The contrast between old and new is nice becuase it gives insight into him being menacing where the past version is generally cute rounded in design with I think is a sailors outfit on, future spinel has more of a business look, showing the maturity.
The way you draw male spinel gives off Jhonen Vasquez vibes! It’s really cool!

I love this so much. The cover, the design, and the animatic. The expressions of spinel, the new ideas created, camera movement with steven and spinel, and how her eyes + teeth came out was unexpected.

Is it just me or does the minor implements of character traits really affect how you see characters? Like i really noticed that this rendition went for a lot more choke holds and punches. Kinda made me see how they handled the trauma.

The way you gave a total twist to this male version of Spinel, which acted and looked very childish and playful (which contrasted with how dangerous it was), while your version is quite dark and very gloomy, at the same time elegant, being very different from Spinel which makes it very original, amazing work and deserves more popularity.
