The old selenium rectifier was replaced at some stage and square silicon bridge rectifiers fitted instead. 12:21 That power resistor looks like new. Brilliant footage.
When I went to New York recently, I found a building that was still in full use that had lifts with relay logic: unfortunately, one would not be able to film inside it, as it is the state supreme court building. One could hear the relays working when one got to the top floor.
Great video! Once again, your music selection was strikingly appropriate! I admit, I had to turn down my subwoffer since my hallmates are the quiet types. :D
it's quite often that, when replaying the footage I've just taken I think, DAMN if only I'd filmed this or that! On a lot of occasions I have to go back and refilm stuff that I've missed (see the 'nine floors of terror' video - went back there several times when I missed stuff). I did think about what you said, about the shaft and roof. However, it's a tall lift to it wasn't just a matter of reaching up. And to get into the shaft would have taken some time to do. This place, my torch was lighting up the building and I didn't really want to hang around, but besides. I do wonder if there was some kind of lever system (like the old russian lifts) in the lift shaft as a floor selector/direction system. Too late I guess! I'm not going back!
Great video! Surely did seem spooky, and particularly at 8:40, that music that starts playing seems to trigger my fight or flight response. Would you happen to know what the name of it is or where it's from? 😂
Nice video, as always. I've never seen mobile phone companies leave their infrastructure behind. Looked like an aircon in their equipment room on the bottom right. Was probably just done recently.
That was an old heater - it was probably rigged up on a thermostat to keep the oil from become too cold in winter - causes the motor to work harder. But did you see those plates on the wall by the way - probably holding up all the gear on the outside of the wall.
mrmattandmrchay if you follow the coax cable from the cell phone antennas on the roof, they come down, disappear and re-emerge near the blue door with aircon. That is classic cell base installation. Also the blue door seems out of context and handy for service vehicles. It all might be dormant now, of course.
What was the building used for? It looks like some kind of industrial building, but why they have this wheelchair bathroom with hand rails at the ground floor?
You lucky duck. The oldest building with an elevator in my city was built in 1976, and it’s still very much not abandoned. The next closest city is hours away. I’ll have to just live vicariously through you.
nah, it's not that - it's because it's not relevant to the video. And I'm not sure that it would be responsible of me to tell people how to get into such buildings. I mean, if some kid tried what I did by copying my video (or stuff that I say) and they were injured or killed in the process, then I'm not sure I'd sleep too well at night. I see enough stuff on youtube that can influence kids to do dangerous stuff - I don't want to be apart of anything like that.
@@ZZ9ProductionsOFFICIAL Me adjusting setitings, youtube's time isn't right since the daylight saving changes last night (says premiers at 9pm, but 10pm elsewhere!!! Should be 9pm GMT
Thanks! And, I think it's like, being hyped up to get the filming done and get out - that you just don't think about it and get on with it! By the way - I just aimed the camera over that way at the tanks - at the time I didn't look!
Grate videos keep it up they are great edited and there is a old lift in boots inside the hale Leys shopping centre in aylesbury Buckinghamshire einland
Great Video, I Do Love Old Buildings, And Creepy Ones Too, I Would Put A Guess At This Used To Be Some Form Of Office?? Although its not a fully abandoned i went around a place for photos the other day where i found 2 abandoned lifts at, too bad i could not explore the whole place due to safety problems (people)
Thanks! The stairs did not go down to the ground floor. There was a fire exit down one end (already demolished) but the MAIN stairs to all levels were in the adjoining building which no longer exists
That's kind of a no-no. I know what you're saying, but although its going to be buried with the building, if caught it could land you in serious trouble!
you're crazy.. i mean there are other channels that explore abandoned buildings and structures at least ones that are not being demolished. (ones that have been forgoten) some even go far to explore abandoned nuclear power plants. (the cores are inactive in those.)
An old lift that's about to become a pile of rubble - not many left these days so it just had to be filmed. You have to chase your passions I guess. My favourite urbex channel is 'the proper people'. Not sure that there are enough channels these days that go to the time and effort that I do when I edit my movies. The Proper People videos are exceptional though!
This is one of my fav videos. My favourite part is the music when I climb the ladder. Actually, that sequence was filmed on the way down, I reversed it to make it look like I'm climbing the ladder! I always film what I come for FIRST then get all the other footage on the way back down. Then if I have to leave quickly, I have the main footage!
As always, thanks for everyone who joined the Premier. Hope you enjoyed the video and the lightning (took me a whole evening to perfect that!! haha!)
you probably borrowed a ladder somewhere.

I appreciate the time and effort that you put into your elevator machine room videos. And again thanks.
These N64 Goldeneye reboots are getting really good
The beginning should be the intro of "some elevator horror game that doesnt exist but actually should". I actually want to develop that n o w
How would you feel if you went into a building like this, in a similar state, only to discover that the old lift was still powered up and working?
Well, mixed feelings! These places - get in, get it filmed, get out! Not sure if I'd be hanging around!
I’d personally be super careful because if there’s power there’s likely an active alarm system
Great video! Once again, your music selection was strikingly appropriate! I admit, I had to turn down my subwoffer since my hallmates are the quiet types. :D
The lift - when was it installed, which make and so on, any other details? It is also one fine video indeed
Thanks for the compliment. Unfortunately, what you see is all I know. I don't have any additional info. Sorry
I'm confused how that Turnbull managed to have Evans buttons inside, were the two companies connected in some way?
I was really hoping you’d show us the roof of the lift car, it’s by far the safest lift to show us on vs one that’s in use.

@@mrmattandmrchay Thank you very much :) What a strange piece of music but I'm drawn to it weirdly.
Poor pigeons sleeping and getting scared awake, I hope they are OK and found a new place to roost/sleep when the building got pulled down
Perhaps it’ll be a good idea to request if you could take out some of the lift fixtures for collection
Don't ask, just do it before its too late.

Perfect choice of music and sound effects! What was that building before it was abandoned? (Don't want name or address, just general info)
Thanks! Half of the time it's about choosing the right music to match the video scenes, but I love it! This was an industrial work building.

Ah no! So what area of the world do you live in?
mrmattandmrchay western Canada, 300 km or so inland from the Pacific Ocean.
What is that ring like piece on the motor body?
Did you ever encounter some unexplained entity or phenomenon during these explorations?
you know how you have a phobia of water tanks i have a phobia of lifts
noop
I used to have a fear of lifts until I was about 18 years old. My water tank phobia has never left me though since I was a kid.

By the way what is the next video going to be my new video has just been realest

Looks like it is being demolished, so I'm guessing help was gained from 5he the demolition crew.
Ooh a sneaky trick for people who are avid fans of your channel! Very interesting video, and very coincidental also!
