Great interview. I breathed, contemplated, and prayed between the breaks. Peaceful practice. If this happens again, maybe a marker and paper pad for communication.😊 In spite or because of the breaks, I found this to be one my favorites and most helpful. Peace and Blessings.

San Miguel is an amazing place to retire. We are currently building our future retirement home in San Miguel in a very secure subdivision. We have been traveling to SMA since 2016 and loved it first visit and bought land. Would love to share with everyone more information on San Miguel. It’s been named number one city several times by travel and leisure magazine even made #1 2021. We live on the Texas Mexico border and drive to San Miguel every other month since 2016. Longest we have stayed there is 2 months.

Just so people don't get mislead, English is not broadly spoken in San Miguel. One can go to La Comer, the large US-style grocery mart and no one on staff will speak English. It is true that more English is spoken than in Guanajuato or Queretaro but American tourists should expect some Spanish is necessary IMO.

Thank you for the information. To assist us with the geography, I recommend showing a map zooming in on the area of discussion.

Thanks for your kind words. As you can see from the technical issues I was having, adding more aspects to this would not have gone well. I’m sure you can understand why looking it up on a map yourself would be easier. 💛

I don’t think I want to live in San Miguel but I’m so excited about living in CDMX and being able to visit beautiful towns around Mexico like San Miguel De Allende. Just a bus ride away? Love that!

Thx so much ladies! Very good questions. I'm single and seriously thinking of scouting Mexico out. Any dating stories in San Miguel and Xetekas (sp) would be great. 💙

There needs to be more UA-cam videos made on women and dating in Mexico. And one on dating Mexicans or even non Mexican natives while down there. I either always hear about it from young ladies who are down there temporarily or from male expats. There needs to be more coverage on this I think many are curious

@@Roshida shida im guessing that means it’s not that great for female expats huh? I wonder if women who want to move down there should accept that that part of their lives will be nonexistent which kinda sucks cuz it’s important someone’s emotional and physical needs get met

I am a disabled African American senior looking for a place to live and work. At this stage I'm in the process of getting certification to teach English to Spanish language speakers. Can you give me some pointers on getting situated as an expat.

Importing a car is rarely worth the trouble, so most people don't do it.

You can keep your car if you are a temporary resident. Some expats have spoken about being targeted when having state plates other than that once you become a permanent resident you may have to give up your car. You can import a car and it has to pass auto laws and be paid off.
