I've been listening to the NBHD since "I love you". It's crazy that even though their music has changed, I still like it. I loved their old style and I love what they are doing now. I can't really explain how much this band means to me. I had to go through some tough times with panic attacks and anxiety and their music was one of the few things that could calm me. Most underrated band of all time. And thats not an exaggeration. Thats an understatement. Godamn the world. That theyre not loved by every single person with the faculty of hearing. It actually makes me angry
Really... a lot of songs without any point get about 1 billion views but songs with good instrumentals, lyrics are always unrated
Its the most incensing bullshit. Like i can understand different tastes. I like a wide variety of shit and even dumb shit but the neighb is like so appealing in every way. Theres no reason for them to be slept on. They’re actually creative AND keep themselves relevant with the times (they’re also greatly reminiscent of the best FORMER times that we, of this generation, love. Like the nineties and eighties. Somea their shit is even seventies/sixties style. They do it all). Not that any of thats important to anyone with a brain, when it comes to good music. Its just that it obviously is important to mainstream music and the mainstream public. And so why arent they as big as fucking anyone else in the limelight?? My overall point is that they’ve checked all the boxes, and then some, and theres absolutely no reason why anyone of this generation, at the very least, shouldn’t be listening.

this song makes me remember that I used to cry a lot when I was at school. My friends stopped coming up to me and asking me what's wrong, I just cried too much. I would rest my head on my desk and listen to the neighbourhood. I'd always listen to this song, and now, hearing "realized I'm less important than I thought I'd be" and "I just want your empathy" is like a punch in the chest.
This song hits hard, I don't think I'll be able to listen to it without those memories flooding my head. And that sucks, I love the neighbourhood :(

I used to feel like that back in middle school, now I've made friends that will support me no matter what and my mental health has improved. I'm not saying highschool will automatically make everything better, but there's always a chance that things can improve. I don't think words could possibly ever express the amount of love, affection, admiration I have built up for this band. I've been listening to them for about 5 years. Each song, album, EP, anything they've ever put out, represents a part of my life. It's like, my own personal life soundtrack. Their music is like, so euphoric and nostalgic to me. They take me to another place when I listen to them. And I am so fucking glad to say that I've grown into the person I am today listening to them. I don't think I could have gotten through any of the shit I have gone through without this band. And I know i'm not the only person who feels this way. I hope one day they'll know just how special and impactful they are to millions. The neighbourhood is irreplaceable.
