Well then you clearly didn't know the country very well that you were fighting for, and unless that combat was in WWII, you weren't fighting for your country, or freedom back at home, or to spread democracy. You were fighting for politicians and the ruling class, the long powerful arm of the most imperialistic brutal empire the world has ever seen. Not putting a single ounce of that on you, you believed in your heart otherwise, we all did at one time, they've had most the country indoctrinated into the false narrative we live under since end of WWII and the creation of the MIC.
Aaron Lewis is a failed alternative rock icon, who turned to county when he couldn't cut it as a rocker any longer, because it's easy to sell records there, and more accepted to sing songs other have written or are flat out cover tunes. Not to mention, his whole "country life" background is a total sham, made 95% of it up right out of thin air. Google "aaron lewis temper tantrum", and see how many times he's stormed off stage cause the crowd wasn't respecting him enough, or him disrespected Mexican American citizens, or him throwing a drink at someone in the crowd, hell this song is an insult to what America is supposed to stand for!!!..... F - Aaron Lewis!!

Southerner here who would like to address your questions on Confederate monuments/statues.
As you know, most of the folks in the north, typically hold a far more negative view of these historical monuments than us in the south do. Why is that? Simply because they have different meanings to different people. While northerners may see those statues and have thoughts of racism or whatever it may be, southerners such as myself dont ever think of such a thing when considering the meaning of the statues. It is important to note that most Southern Confederate soldiers did not go to war to fight for the institution of slavery. They went to war because they were standing for the rights of their states against a corrupt federal government that had abused its power and wanted to unconstitutionally expand to radical and extreme lengths. If you're not from the south, you may not be taught about that. But the reality is, I'm from Kentucky, and I myself along with many others from states across the south have had ancestors, in my case, my 4th great grandfather, who fought with the south. They believed that they were fighting tyrants who wanted nothing more than to eliminate the rights of their states. I assume you aren't from the south so you probably wont understand this as much, but most southerners hold most of our pride in our state. For instance, most people here say "were Kentuckians first, and Americans second." But that doesn't mean we dont love our beautiful country. We absolutely do, and would die for it. But we also dont want to be stuck in the same bucket of laws as someone from say, Connecticut or Massachusetts. We have very diverse cultures as state's and we like to keep that. You cant take someone from Texas and someone from New York and just expect them to be the exact same, to want the same laws, and to think exactly the same. We also celebrate Confederate History Month in April to look back and remember the history of the civil war and the south, as well as Confederate Memorial Day, which we celebrate in honor of our fallen Confederate veterans, like my grandfather, who served honorably alongside other southern states against a tyranical federal government.
To sum it all up, there's 3 short reasons that explain and cover most of the bases for this
    1. F-ck the government
    2. Statewide culture + states rights
    3. Heritage + southern pride
To some people, it may be just 1 of those, could be 2. To me, it's all 3.
I could go *much* deeper into this, as I haven't even scratched the surface of the iceberg, but I think ive explained everything pretty well.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask. God bless you, and God bless these United States of America 🇺🇸 ❤

😂😂😂 Well I am from WV and will start by saying KY wasn't even a Confederate State it was a neutral state that had people on both sides and even Prager U had a video about how slavery and its economic impact was the reason why the South with its slave owner band of traitors Jefferson Davis etc decided to over step their state authority and succeed without going through proper rules and regulations don't try to rewrite history in a southern glory they were traitors got their ass beat and honestly got off easy because they were still regarded by many in the North as just misguided. FYI Grant was the best general in either side by a good margin Confederate States were doomed from the start🇺🇸

    • @kusarigama7899
      @kusarigama7899 3 місяці тому +1

@@andreagageby4854 This is false on so many levels. Keep in mind the only thing I agree with for the South was their right to secede which happened one other time in our nation's history and that was New England when James Madison was in office. He did indeed give them the option to leave (which they did not) and ordained that it was their RIGHT to do so under the Constitution (Hartford Convention).
Any person worth their salt, or taken a REAL history course, would be introduced to a couple of books. "For Cause and Comrades: Why Men Fought in the Civil War" from James M. Pherson which is a catalogue of REAL stories from journals/dairies from BOTH Union and Confederate soldiers on why they were fighting the Civil War. You will come to find many soldiers in the Union never mention abolishment of slavery (especially the conscripted soldiers) as well as the Confederate soldiers (same as the Union levied) who were afraid of losing their lands and freedoms. Then we have "Lincoln Takes Command" from John Shipley Tilley which is a great book on how Lincoln wanted the Civil War to begin with.
MANY people agree Lee was the best general but the most INFLUENTIAL general was Sherman and not in a good way. In Sherman's own Memoirs, I forget the book he wrote, he writes about the March to the Sea and how he, his wife and Lincoln both laughed with glee how he ended not only men but innocent women and children. Sherman was just a monster as was his wife. Both governments were absolutely VILE in the Civil War.

As he took time as a solo artist he put a lot of them as an acoustic version. They are incredible. Something to Remind You (Staind) live at the Mohegan Sun is unreal. He pulls some of those notes from his toes. His voice is incredible especially if you listen to both. But I think almost everyone knows “It’s Been A While”. Lol.

What’s crazy is he made most of the song up ON STAGE LIVE because he never finished the song but Fred wanted him to perform it. Crazy story. Your insight and articulation of thoughts is top notch. I love the thoughts you’ve put out and respect what you’ve said. Aaron Lewis is the lead singer of the rock band “Staind” who we (me at least) grew up listening to btw

I started watching the reaction videos because it was entertaining, but, now I really only watch yours! You are a true man, a family man who actually loves his wife and daughters ! I see it when you speak of them you burst of pride and love. You and your friends that you react with are a breath of fresh air in this clown world of soot and smut. Like most of us when we were young we all were rebels full of piss and vinegar, and the one thing that kept us focused or kept us searching to find our place in the life was the consistent structure of our family and society , Men were Men strong protective providers who would lay their life down for the woman he loved and for his children women were women who nurtured us taught us respect gratitude and love and would lay their life down for her children and her man! Where did these people go? I found one it’s you, and God Bless you and your family! I wish the best for you , thank you

One of the best and most emotionally stirring vocalists on the planet. Can’t think of another artist who can put that much emotion into their performances. You should do more of him. His old band, Staind, was a monster back in the day. They split up for a long time, but they dropped a new album and are going on tour this year.

Statues remind us of where we've came from and what we've been through good or bad so that we remember our past and learn from it. When we forget we repeat.

Country boy is a great song he has a bunch of great solo songs but country boy is a good place to start besides this one. Thank you for the reaction bro

I believe in everything u said...America is for everyone but if ppl don'tike what it stands for then it's time for them to leave.. I'm so tired of ppl disrespecting what this country is about n constantly trying to strip of our history n this country that we love so much..Ppl coming from other countries n bringing their flags here n taking ours down, maybe they don't deserve the freedom that is attached to that flag..Most of them never fought for this country nor did anyone in their families.. Instead of taking our flags n statues down we should be telling them to leave..This is why our country is in the shape it's in...

What's crazy is the first time most people heard him was in a live performance of Outside at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in 1999 with Fred Durst on backup vocals. It was so good it ended up being repeatedly played on MTV and the radio, the studio version wouldn't come out until 2001! I can't think of any other time that a liver performance preceded a studio performance and received such huge response. It's on UA-cam and worth checking out. ua-cam.com/video/kc3Za3jfvJg/v-deo.html

When it comes to what you said about the statues being in museums that is exactly where i believe they should be. You do not want to forget history. Forgetting history only means you're doomed to repeat it.
