As someone said, the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame seems to hate actual Rock as evidenced by some who have been inducted in recent years. Perhaps another Hall of Fame should be started. The Vulgar Butt Twitchin' Hall Of Fame.
This album was my first encounter with the concept of three dimensional images. I always liked the fact that the glasses were shaped to look like stars. (And the album is classic GFR)

I’ve still got all my GFR first press vinyl, I’m playing this one now. I like to play my vinyl, than go on UA-cam to read the comments. GFR were a superb band, they should have been a lot bigger. In their heyday, they’d blow any band off the stage. Even Peter Grant, Led Zep’s manager didn’t like the competition.

Todd rundgren produce this album for grand funk and change their style trying to go into progressive/ acid rock, it’s a good experiment not a bad album ,with good songs just very different from the previous albums maybe a bit too much effects and with don brewer singing more song and composing music.
Don was given all the copyright after Don bitch and cry like baby to Mark about he was writing the songs when In fact Don only know how to play 2 cords. Don grip was he was coming up with the lyrics and not any of the music and Mark was actual writing all the music by to keep the group whole, Mark gave in to Don. In the end, Don didn't feel he was getting enough credit so he walked out of the band.
That's not entirely correct, Don convinced Mark to sign over his share of the band copyright to him, and then he and Mel promptly booted Mark out of the band. Pure ego driven. Now Grand Funk tours without Mark and they sound nothing like GFR. Sad.....

Too bad these fools' egos ruined a good thing...their careers! None of them recovered... Excellent album...Todd Rundgren crushed it...
