    I bought a Smith performance sprayer T100V 48 oz handheld sprayer. After I bought the sprayer, I saw in one of your videos that you said not to use part of the 13 oz crossfire bottle to use for less than a one-gallon crossfire, water mix. Do you think it would be all right if I mix the entire 13 oz bottle of crossfire and water in a one-gallon jog and then pour it into my Smith 48 oz sprayer? And then when I use that all up, fill it up again from the gallon jug?

    At 72 y.o., guess I ain't a virgin any more. Also seems I can't get Crossfire delivered to my zipcode in this godforsaken state of California. Just how residual is Harris Bed Bug Killer?
    And, any thoughts on HotShot bedbug and flea foggers, containing "Nylar" (???).
    Did learn a coupla things today; as I live in an extreme fire danger zone, I'm not about to try to toast this shack with a "whole room" heat soak, but while hair dryers (150F) ain't gonna cut it, my industrial heat gun (750F on low setting) toasts 'em in about one second when I can see 'em. Just gotta be careful not to melt the nylon or set the cotton polyester blends on fire...

    LOOKING FOR ANSWER ASAP : QUESTIONS
    Hi! I live in a duplex and the other side of the duplex had reported a small bed bug infestation. We had gotten both sides of the duplex inspected and there were none on my side, but there were evidence of bed bugs on the other side. The company we are working with wants to do a full house (both sides) heat treatment that includes Crossfire treatment beforehand, followed by heat treatment for up to 8 hours, and then finally a canine inspection a few days later.
    1. Would this combination of treatments work?
    2. How likely would it be that the bed bugs move into the cracks, walls, insulation, etc?
    3. If we follow through with the company treatment and then self treat every few weeks with a rotation of Crossfire/Temprid (both sides of duplex), would that be effective in getting rid of the bugs?

    • @GreenAkersPC
      @GreenAkersPC  Рік тому

      Crossfire is not rated for high temperatures. If they are going to do this combination they need to treat with crossfire after the heat treatment not before, I mean unless the label has changed.

      @@GreenAkersPC Thank you for the fast reply! I misexplained, but we are doing the crossfire treatment 3 days before the heat treatment, not the same day. Would that work or is it not common for companies to chemical treat before heat treatment?

    Thanks for pointing me to this playlist. I actually used the 1 gallon version of this, except it was a bit different. The brass tip (and the black poly one) were adjustable, and it had a few extra nozzles for fan, pin stream, and foam. But I had the opposite problem -- jet / pin stream came out with so much force it shot back at me even pumping only a couple times. And the mist/fan came out so hard it dripped, regardless of how I adjusted it. Thought maybe defective, but after watching this, I think it's just not a good sprayer lol.
    I'm gonna go for the B&G for my next (hopefully last) treatment. Despite the expense, it'll probably save me money given how much Crossfire I had to use last time. I legit only hit the areas you named "can't miss" in your live 2 weeks ago ish too lol. Question - Do I want to use a pin stream with the B&G? Or fan spray? Or does it just depend on what I'm treating? IIRC you said pin stream for mattresses and stuff but just wanted to make sure.

    • @GreenAkersPC
      @GreenAkersPC  7 місяців тому +2

      Fan spray is pretty good on a B&G but I recommend the small pin stream for cracks on baseboards and crown moldings. It’s super easy to change the stream though so what ever works best for you

      @@GreenAkersPC Thanks man. It's just a bad situation and I'm trying to make sure I do it as effectively as possible. I'm not really a DIY guy unless it's like computers and stuff, but I couldn't afford to hire a pro on my own.

    I'm finally going to bite the bullet and buy a B&G sprayer. It's going to be just for personal use, spraying inside and around the house.
    Saw a couple bed bugs. Tried using a cheap sprayer. They just don't cut it. Overspray, drips, and spray too much. I'd also like to spray around the house for crickets, spiders, ants.
    The cheapest I can find a B&G sprayer is $300 shipped for the 1-gallon green model with the 4 way tip (2 fan, 2 pin).
    For $345 shipped I can get the B&G 1-gallon with the C&C tip (crack and crevice).
    Question: Is it worth the extra $45 to get the C&C tip? Would I use/need it? Is the green model ok?
    Alternatively for $320 shipped I can get an Airofog 1-gallon (C&C tip, pressure gauge, pressure relief valve, larger tank opening, included rebuild kit (seals))
    Question: Have you heard anything about or used an Airofog sprayer?

    • @GreenAkersPC
      @GreenAkersPC  Рік тому +2

      Airofog are good sprayers much like B&G and the c&c isn’t worth the 45

      @@GreenAkersPC Thanks.
      Question:
      1. How do you relieve the pressure on a B&G when your done spraying (without a pressure relief valve)?
      2. Is it hard to tell how much pressure you've pumped into the sprayer or when to pump it up? I noticed B&G now has a model with both the gauge and pressure relief.
      3. How do you clear the wand of water when done spraying so it won't freeze in the winter? I've read stories of the wands freezing and busting in the winter.

    • @GreenAkersPC
      @GreenAkersPC  Рік тому +1

      To release pressure I just loosen the lid. Wands will freeze in the winter if it’s kept outside. I keep mine in a warmer place during cold weather. To drain the wand you need to empty the tank completely of any pesticides and then with the lid off hold the wand up and tilt the tank so the pesticide will drain into the tank

      @@GreenAkersPC One last question. I found a supplier where I can get the B&G Green 1-gallon for $290 shipped with which ever tip I'd prefer installed. Either the standard 4-way or the C&C tip. Which do you recommend? Is the pinstream on the C&C tip good for bed bug application?
