The new Garmin TT15X and T5X have the same range as the previous TT15 and T5 collars at 9 miles. Those collars only get 2 miles when your using the PRO 550 Plus transmitter, which the handheld is the limiting factor in range.
I have beagles - any update on status of mini collars. No TT15 ot T5 mini collars available. Is Garmin going to continue to make these collars or the new X version?
As far as we have been told, the TT15 Mini and T5 Mini collars are going to be continued being produced. They are currently backordered with Garmin and expected in later this month or possibly the beginning of April.
The Garmin TT15X has tracking and training. The Garmin T5X is tracking only. Both the TT15X and T5X have vastly increased battery life over the previous TT15 and T5 receivers.

What kind of battery is in it? Wonder what the inside of it looks like. If I can just buy the battery and put it in my regular t5.
According to Garmin's website it uses the same battery as the full size T5 and TT15 collars. We have not confirmed this by tearing one apart though.

There currently is not a TT15X Mini or T5X Mini, the older TT15 Mini and T5 Mini are currently backordered with Garmin with no current delivery date.
