  • FlyWire reviews AC Air Technology's TrackTech tug. This is a request from a viewer, hopefully you find it useful too! Check out the pros and cons of the TrackTech Airplane Tug. It's REMOTE control.
FlyWire is about exploring flight and the freedom this incredible experience brings us on a personal level. Flying has always captured the imagination and excitement of living life to its fullest. Hi, I'm Scott Perdue. In a former life I flew the F-4 and F-15E, more recently I retired from a major airline. I've written for several aviation magazines over the years, was a consultant for RAND, the USAF, Navy, NASA as well as few others, wrote a military thriller- 'Pale Moon Rising' (still on Kindle). But mostly I like flying, or teaching flying. Some of the most fun I had was with Tom Gresham on a TV show called 'Wings to Adventure". We flew lots of different airplanes all over the country. Now with FlyWire I want to showcase the fun in flying, share the joy and freedom of flight and explore the world with you. Make sure you subscribe if you want to go along for the ride!

I like your reviews...and if there's one thing flying has lots of, it's gadgets. It's good to have real world testing to weed out the crap. Thanks.

A cool thing to do with batteries is to use one of them thar timers to charge it for half an hour daily, just a little bit. You can adjust the timer so the 1st charge is 2hrs (or whatever is the requirement for a full charge) and the following charges are just a few minutes each day.
I want to get one of those old timey gas ones (like I need one for an N3 pup...har har).

You could really freak some people out if you camouflaged that thing enough and started to control it from long distances!

How does it perform on a tailwheel on rough grass?

This version does very well. The first version didn't do so great.
