It seems that if you kill the one who turned you, you don't necessarily die, but the time you cheated away returns to you all at once. I think that's why Guillermo's facial hair suddenly grew. All those months he didn't "age" means his hair also didn't grow. He was immortal and unchanging.
I hope every episode of season 6 is about The Guide. I don't understand the strong dislike of her, and frankly it is a bit obsessive of you considering how much you mention it.
