In my experience if you make the lid a snug fit before the pot has shrunk it will need 'tuning' to get it to fit after the pot has dried and shrunk. Still great to see someone else's processes, thank you.

You can make ring gouges and hook blades from old ring spanners.
One of those would make a fantastic tea container. Now to find a log.
