    Great video (as usual)!
    Good point about the dead space in the hose line. This "capacitance" contributes to the distortion and phase shifts in apparent timing you talked about in a previous video.

    I’m a pico 4425 user and have every accessory for it but I’m also in the process of emailing them to order their pressure pulse sensor and a few of their ignition coil pickups. They are priced VERY well and look to be of great quality too. It took a few days for them to get back with a price and they don’t take PayPal in the country they are in. The only downfall is you can’t just order off of the site and have to go back and forth over email to get it done. Very slow process so don’t be in a hurry

    Hey Denis: You mentioned the voltage output vs pressure is higher than a lot of the competitor sensors. Looking at the graph the output is above a volt down around where my model engine compression is. That's pretty reasonable I might just buy one for use with the models.

      Those DIY pressure sensors have their range spread over 4 volts. Typical of many 5v reference sensors.
      This ROTKEE takes that up a notch and spreads it over a full 5v
      The FLUKE PV350 spreads its 350 PSI over 350mV...useless...and expensive!

    That sounds like a must have. Would it work with fuel pressure? Your no doubt familiar with a method of testing injectors where u pressure drop them with a pulse tool and compare the results between injectors. remember , this rotkee is a ukranian company and can be owned by russians cause the population is mixed and the current situation tears families apart. All the massive EU investments by citizens are at stake and the EU countries have asked their citizens to leave the Ukraine instantly. They can be tomorrow on an american embargo list once they are recogniced as russian, cause now the Ukraine population will seek their compensation and put pressure on the russians among them, well russian roots, but ukraine citizens with ukrains passports like in the baltic states.
    They were cheap due to cheap labor there but things will evolve as the supply issues have grown in the past few weeks cause the ukraine companies benefitted in the past from strong relations to the russian suppliers and all that is at stake cause they had not moved away from the cheap russian supply chain since the 2014 occupation of the chrimean peninsulla.
    pretty difficult to get stuff cause I guess the embargo have started which means they have to proof that their products are made in ukraine and do not rely on russian supplies. Ukraine to EU is a stronger border than Mexiko to USA, cause that is the outside border of the EU.

      0 PSIG (atmosphere) is 1v output from that sensor
      PICO has Gradient + Offset and HScope has Multiplier + Offset to create probe settings that automatically display in PSI
      I don't think the VERUS has that capability. The "workaround" would be a paper chart that would allow you to convert the volts VERUS displays into PSI or BAR
      easy enough to make...
      if working in BAR:
      1v = 0 BAR and each 1v from that represents 2.5 BAR

    Hi, I've discovered your videos recently and, although I find everything I've seen so far very interesting, this one is a game changer for me. I've been a dealership tech for about 18 years and am fed up. I'm looking to move to being a self employed mobile diagnostician and well, let's face it, with all the scantools I need to buy, the $6000+ pico or escope kits are kind of prohibitive. When I saw the price of the Rotkee, I started laughing and almost cried.
    So, I wanted to thank you sincerely for having me made discover this product.
    Now here's a question.
    How do you think it compare to the pico? Is it as capable?

    • @theGADGETSplaylist

      comparing the PS16 to PICO WPS500 ...WPS500 has fastest response time but PS16 is adequate and so much affordable...no battery to charge and easy to use...
      comparing MT PRO to PICO is difficult...
      ROTKEE MT PRO is not an ordinary USB scope...it connects to laptop through ethernet port...and has other differences...
      but for $220 and 8 channels it is hard to beat...just make sure you understand those differences before you buy and you'll be ok...
      they have been experiencing stock issues, so there might be a wait...and their ordering process and communication is not the best...but I think these are honest people and I know members of our HScope group have been ordering successfully from them

      Although the math is simple, PICO and HScope take different approaches to PROBE configuration. And, it's the simple things that can be the most dangerous:)
      With that in mind, I'll provide PICO settings for ROTKEE PS16
      For BAR:
      Y = 3.4
      Offset = -1
      For PSIG:
      Y = 49.3
      Offset = -14.5
      I think these are ok. Let me know if there are issues George...

      I think the PSIG numbers are ok but I'm having second thoughts about the BAR numbers.
      For BAR, please make Offset = 0 (instead of -1 as I originally submitted)
      And let me know, George:)

      @@theGADGETSplaylist Mr denis I already try both formula y x types and the correct is y 3.4 and offset -1 .before try i take a measurement for compression with gauge and it's almost the same values very small difference and I also check with vacuum gauge the same time with ps16 engine running to test the vacuum values.the only difference i see is that the ps16 characteristics 294mv equal 1 atm or bar and if I have the ps16 connected but not plug in in cylinder but on my tool box the value of atm is 325mv and because is small difference i let it as it is I'm not trying to adjust in picoscope probe setup because I don't know if the weather is changing a little the values or the place I am !but for this price and tool I am very happy and satisfied!I hope after few uses still work fine!!thank you very much for your help !!!I wish you every day be happy with a big smile in your face!thank you again!
