Just got myself a black tanto for 300 bucks, they’re so hard to find. I absolutely love it. Now I have all 3 that I wanted, the normal leaf shape, wharncliffe, and now tanto. The tanto one just feels heavy duty and it’s my favorite.
Thanks for watching. I originally wanted the dlc. But they were sold out. That’s also part of the reason I scale swapped it. To make it look a little cooler.
@@ScotchNThings actually the gun laws are pretty okay to be honest! And the Knive laws... Puhhh they are much better to my luck! I can carry almost everything! I didn't looked at the law long time ago, I think automatics and Knives where you can't see its a knife are not really allowed let's say. Hidden weapons. But I get always my knives back! Greetings
Haha. That’s good. My wife’s uncle lives there and always wants to go shooting every time he’s back in the states. He made it seem like it was kind of hard there so I just assumed. Good to know.
@@ScotchNThings yes of course you should be able to shoot and be clear in your mind let's say. In my language It would be easier to tell you all that stuff. Anyway it's funny and I appreciate it to write with one of my and our Knive Friend! Hope you have a great week my Friend from the other end!
I love S30V. Sharpens on regular stones and has better edge retention than Magnacut and S35VN. It was a new steel when i first got into knives. Maxamet i tried on a para 3 and didnt care for how much work it took to reprofile a poorly sharpened second hand sample and the low toughness
Man I am really glad I'm not alone in thinking the pm2 was a little big... That's until I said "screw it" and bought one. Absolutely love it so far. Any issues with the Ti hardware? I had severe lock stick with the Para 3 with Flytanium hardware.
@@Herwiggle it is a little bit for me, I wear straight leg jeans and I'm built like a newborn giraffe. But I bought it and I'll live with the consequences 😂
I haven’t had to sharpen it yet. And the edge is nice and sharp from factory. And it cut paper tape and cardboard just fine. I like the Tanto blade especially for cutting zip ties.
Let me know if they do. I want to buy a para 2 tanto but worries it’s going to be to bulky in the pocket. But I don’t like the look of the regular para 3.

Ya it’s a much beefier blade. It would be a great hard user for ya. I wish they would release more and in the para 3 also
Man that is a beautiful knife! Those blue screws just make it pop! I agree, I like the compression lock better than the Axis!
Ya it’s nice to be able to change things up and make it your own. And ya I love the compression lock.
Nice looking scales! Love the PM2 as a good EDC option
Thanks. Man I have fallen in love with this thing.
Hey Steve! I like the dlc Pm2 Tanto! Thank you for sharing. Greetings from Austria
Thanks for watching. I originally wanted the dlc. But they were sold out. That’s also part of the reason I scale swapped it. To make it look a little cooler.
Also I know your gun laws are a bit wacky there but how are the knife laws?

Great review, would be nice to see the blades in use cutting , cardboard, plastic, wood, fruit and vegetables ect...
Thanks. I get that but I’m not trying to purposely dull my blade. I’ll see if I can incorporate some stuff like that in the one month review
I like the pm2 over the para3. Just got a tanto version ordered from blade hq with some lotus carbon fiber scales as well. Can't wait
Ya I want to pick up a pm2 in maxamet to go with my para 3
@@ScotchNThings maxamet is a beast, I've had my pm2 in maxamet for a year and it's still sporting its factory edge, only have had to strop it.
Tim Nichol ya I’m really liking it.
Is it bulky in the pocket?
That's the only pm2 I want
Great knife. I just sold mine to fund something else. I’ve found some scales I want so I’m already shop for a new pm2
If they made this version in maxamey I'd snatch it immediately! I like this blade shape better than the standard pm2 one!
Ya I don’t know why they aren’t making it in other steels.

My pm2 I’m maxamet never leaves my pocket. And I have 20 other knives. My wife hates me flicking it watching tv hahahha
Haha that drives my wife crazy also. I traded my para 3 in maxamet and immediately regretted it. I’m on the hunt for another one.
I like the tanto blade because it remind me of a samurai sword.
Haha. It does.

No issues so far. The flytanium scales I had weren’t the best fit though.
@@ScotchNThings that very well could be the case for me then. I have the titanium scales as well. Any recommendations when it comes to scales?
Is it bulky in the pocket? I currently carry a benchmade bugout which is literally nonexistent in the pocket.

Where did you get the blue hardware?? Looks nice.
Got it off Etsy.
Interesting but why does know one talk about what it actually cuts like and how it sharpens?

Whats a tanto good for? Just being stronger?
Usually they are thicker. For some it’s just personal preference
Dust Ball I like them because it gives me a bit mor confidence to do some light prying
Wow beauty
Thanks it was a lot of fun to take it apart and make it my own.
What deep carry clip did you put on it? Thanks
It was a off eBay. I can’t remember who from though
Love mine
They are great. I prefer it over the regular blade
Anyone think spyderco is going to make a pm3 with a tanto?
Man I wish they would. Honestly I’m surprised they haven’t yet.
Let me know if they do. I want to buy a para 2 tanto but worries it’s going to be to bulky in the pocket. But I don’t like the look of the regular para 3.
Alex Herwig will do.
