Elisso Virsaladze is one of the greatest pianists who ever lived...but she doesn't often get the recognition as such. At least not here in the west. She's kind of one of those "pianist's pianists" who is known to connoisseurs. She has never given a bad performance or made a bad recording. Her audiences always go wild too! I heard her do the Beethoven #4 one time - that was the very first time I heard her play. After it, I was thinking "I need to listen to everything she recorded!"
She is very honest musician to the composer,to the text.Today is unfort. from the mass public more recognised fantasising and superficial flattering with the music…
