One of my favorite Nickelodeon protagonists and will always be the true protagonist of the Fairly Odd Parents. He’s not the best kid, but he’s a believable kid who has understandably selfish moments. I will always prefer this average kid that no one understands over a bland Mary Sue and two generic sitcom siblings any day.

You honestly see it the most in the Jimmy Timmy Power Hour. Usually, you can excuse Timmy's selfishness because of how awful the people around him treat him (barring Cosmo and Wanda). But when he treats Jimmy (and his possessions/friends) with that same attitude, he becomes unbearable because while Jimmy may not be perfect, he's always been a good kid who isn't careless or selfish (most of the time). I'd also argue that it's the most irritating with Chloe and (early) Tootie. You may not like Chloe, but in-univeree she is a genuinely nice person. The way Timmy treated her was awful to me (that was around the time I stopped watching). As for Tootie, she was genuinely a sweet girl who had things just as hard as Timmy before the show ruined her character. Whenever Timmy was mean to her I used to feel so bad. You honestly see it the most in the Jimmy Timmy Power Hour. Usually, you can excuse Timmy's selfishness because of how awful the people around him treat him (barring Cosmo and Wanda). But when he treats Jimmy (and his possessions/friends) with that same attitude, he becomes unbearable because while Jimmy may not be perfect, he's always been a good kid who isn't careless or selfish (most of the time). I'd also argue that it's the most irritating with Chloe and (early) Tootie. You may not like Chloe, but in-univeree she is a genuinely nice person. The way Timmy treated her was awful to me (that was around the time I stopped watching). As for Tootie, she was genuinely a sweet girl who had things just as hard as Timmy before the show ruined her character. Whenever Timmy was mean to her I used to feel so bad. I hated that the show flipped it to make her out to be a borderline villain and Timmy justified in the way he treated her.
