It’s sad that they are forcing so many of us to jump through hoops for even just a little assistance. I called in after I was denied to clarify my needs and the rep was supposed to make updates to my application only to find out I’m still denied and the updates weren’t made.
the application is not specific it ask you about damage when you clearly put you live in an apartment . people were trying to get food assistance and other living expenses not housing
The application form online should include more details. My homeowners insurance company will not pay for food loss. I don’t know of any that do. From my understanding Fema will not pay if you have homeowners insurance. What a joke. Telling ppl there is assistance but denying you right off the bat. That’s the government for you. You pay in and get nothing in return.
These residents are courageous for speaking up and I applaud them. Please know that this complex is located in the memorial Hermann northeast parking lot -on the same street as the ER!!! And although MOST of the residents at northeast pines are elderly, disabled or have other special needs, the hospital has done nothing to help them either. The hospital which is a short 1 min walk from the entrance of the complex had power right away while these residents suffered. Two hospitalized for heatstroke! Again, these people are so brave to speak up and on behalf of the many elderly and disabled residents. The office and maintenance staff have been helping but the owners are M.I.A.-crickets!!!!! Centerpoint is hurting our community but Memorial Hermann and the owners turning a blind eye to these people-HEARTLESS!!!
Fema denied replacing my school tool paid for by financial aid. I was forced to to withdraw from school because I was denied even sent all the documentation and was still denied. Filed multiple appeals but they keep disappearing!!!!!!
I was denied initially but learned today that I am eligible and was approved. Now the issue is timely deposit of funds, which doesn’t seem to be happening. It will be great to recover the extra expenditures to replace lost food. It’s why I pay income taxes. Not just payroll taxes. INCOME TAXES.
I requested help over the phone and i got a email saying i was approved for help but believe me it's nothing compared to what I've lost the government has plenty of money and they should be ashamed of themselves
A storm, whether it's heat, snow, hurricane etc. happens every year. Each year is worse than the last. We got 11 months to get ready. People now is the time to get ready....Prep!
