  • Mathcad is a tool to arrange, calculate, and visualize engineering calculations. A Mathcad sheet has values, equations, plots, and functions that are written and displayed in a manner that is similar to how they are written in a textbook or reference manual. As inputs in the worksheet are updated, all dependent calculations are updated. See apmonitor.com/c... for additional content on MathCAD.

    My university classes are using MathCAD Prime, so following along was a little weird, but for the most part about 80% of the content you covered is common between the versions. Very helpful video, but I would definitely come back for a prime version if you published. Thank you very much!

      Is it free?

    • @alexanderelea8032

      @@isacdaimary9908 No, but my university provides licenses to students for use in classes. Seems mathcad prime is the only version you can get now so professors have moved on to the newer software. (School dependent obviously)

    It's time to update this course, because of the updating of the MathCad... At this moment the four point o (4.0) has arrived. And thi course is based on the 15 version.

      We stopped teaching MathCAD and never upgraded to MathCAD prime because of the issue with backwards compatibility. A couple instructors have a little MathCAD but we've mostly moved on to Python. I agree that MathCAD 15 is antiquated.

    Great on to review mathcad and learn other language such as python. I'm gonna try to use this as reference for doing the same thing in python to see the difference between mathcad and python.

    First of all thanks, In question 2, how could you manage to add power -2 to the paranthesis?

    asked sir.
    1. I have a problem in the formulation. so some values don't connect. how to fix it?
    2. I want to change the unit from m2 to psi. but when I change it, the values are not the same and there are 2 units. how to fix it?
    Thanks for the response and explanation.

      This sounds like an issue for MathCAD support. I recommend going through their tutorials. The latest version is different than the one I showed.

    Learning this in school this week. What applications will this be used for?

    • @apm
      @apm  4 роки тому

      MathCAD is good for homework-sized problems. Once you get to industrial-sized problems you'll likely need a tool like Python or Matlab.

    Could the video quality be any worse?

    • @apm
      @apm  2 роки тому

      Try setting the resolution to 1080p. UA-cam automatically reduces the quality to optimize video delivery. If you are willing to wait for the loading, you can force it to run at higher resolutions.

      I haven't looked at this in a while. Could you suggest a correction? You may also want to consider moving to Python: apmonitor.com/che263

      I wouldn't recommend that you buy MathCAD. Instead, I recommend that you use Python if you are looking for a computational tool. Check out the SymPy package that can do most of the symbolic math. apmonitor.com/che263

    Hi, Mathcad has something similar to the base mark I could not and could not find. Like "An", but "n" in there is a function, a base. It's like a formulator. Sample video, ua-cam.com/video/Z8CINSwDB6I/v-deo.html
    This video is performing that spelling at exactly 1:59 time. "A s" is doing. How is this done?
    ANSWER.
    Thanks.

    • @apm
      @apm  7 років тому

      You can do subscripts with a "." - In this case you would type A.s There is also the index operator that has shortcut A[s (with a open square bracket. You only want to use the index operator when you have a vector.

    Why not using the Free and Open source alternatives such as WxMaxima and GeoGebra? it is not cool that academics, paid by tax payers money, promote commercial products for free.
