      There is a ‘hobble’, which connects the rear cinch to the front cinch, so the rear cinch can’t slide back into the flank area of the horse… and his broke.
      It then acted like a bucking strap that they place on bucking horses to encourage them to buck. The horses try to ‘kick it off’.

    You can clearly see how the sinch isn’t tight enough, and it slipped and got the ladago all messed up. That’s why my trainer helped me check the habble strap and sinch before I ride.

    • @lottiestanley7696
      @lottiestanley7696 Рік тому +2

      The rear cinch was tight enough. The hobble strap that connects it to the front cinch broke. That is why it was able to slide further back to a more narrow part of the horse than it should be. It didn’t get ‘messed up with the latigo’ at all.
      The rear cinch moving to the horse’s flank literally became a ‘bucking’ strap, like the ones placed on bucking horses (separately from the saddle) to encourage them to buck.

When you get my age you'll be in a rocking chair talking about back when you could ride while most of the ropers will still be in the saddle (assuming they stayed in the saddle while roping), so there is a trade off to consider.
