    Dude I love skating rockered. My frames are flat so I just rotate the wheels in place and wear them into a natural rocker - it always sucks going back to fresh wheels and skating flat for the first session or two. Regarding frame length... yeah, my Ronin frames have a 303mm axle-to-axle. I clip my wheels pretty frequently, but the frames are so heavy and stable that it rarely messes me up.
    I've been skating rockered setups for most of the last three years. I've watched Zone more times than I can count. My main setup was 4x80 rockerable K2 Midtown frames on K2 Unnatural boots, and then I upgraded to one of the finest rockered setups on the market, the FR1 Deluxe. So for me, getting used to the rocker wasn't that big a deal, but getting used to the frame length is something I'm still working on.
    When my wife bought me Trimax frames for christmas one year, they replaced my Midtown frames on the Unnaturals. Sadly, the rockerable frame spacers are rather janky on that setup. Far too steep a rocker to actually use, and the overall length of the frame (255mm) doesn't lend itself all that well to rockering anyway. I've seen some folks use 3d-printed H-blocks on that frame, and for a while I was interested in that, but like you said with the Dragon+Monkey Blocks, it'd be like grinding on stilts. Probably worse since Trimax frames are so damn tall.

    • @ThirtyandRollin
      @ThirtyandRollin  3 роки тому

      Ya you get over the negatives to the length pretty quick. The h-blocks are different story. Tough to get comfortable grinding on tall frames.

    Thanks for the detailed review! I'm hesitating between the Vm and the V rocker sets. Right now I think the V rocker might be in fact slightly more stable because of the 3+3 contact wheels, and that's the main advantage of these frames over a typical 76-80-80-76 shorter rocker frame...

    • @ThirtyandRollin
      @ThirtyandRollin  3 роки тому +1

      Yes that is true but the constant weight shifting over 1 point can make them feel less stable. Where the Vm never feels like you are on a single teeter totter point.

    Thorough review, Dude. The look of these didn’t interest me initially, but when I saw the h-block I wondered if they could be something I might want to try. I looks as though the block itself could be reduced so that it sits higher up and close to the frame, no? I wonder why it sits so low? The pros and cons really helped.👍

    I wonder how do you rotate your wheels on these to keep the rocker. Do you already figured out some system? I‘ve got the ninja frame and the standart 1st to 3rd and 2nd to 4th rotation works great to prevent getting full rocker or flat. I could imagine it‘s a bit harder to keep that subtle v rocker on five wheels.
