Yoongi has always struggled with fame and the pressures of it, he's expressed how much anxiety he gets when he realizes how much more attention BTS is slowly getting as time passes. I think it was when they confirmed that BTS would be performing at the AMAs that he said he'd cried in his hotel bathroom because he was scared.
Yeah I know. I’ve even seen him express that in his solo music. He’s seriously such a great writer and producer! He puts so much of himself into it. 💜

Idol was Namjoon's era. I said what I said and, I meant what I said. I think of Idol as DNA's cooler, younger sister lol. It was a powerful way to end the Love Yourself era. Also, as someone to grew up and continues to live in Southern Africa, it was so cool hearing sounds from music around here in Idol. Even friends of mine who aren't into kpop said it sounded like House music lol (House is a genre of music around here. Very different to Western House music)
I remember crying when i watched and heard SHADOW for the first time. When Yoongi said he went home after winning an award from a western award show and cried himself inside his hotel room because their fame at some point scared him and all the internal struggle that came with it. I love how vulnerable he is in the song. 🥺
Fact, the last scene for STAY GOLD is not CGI. They actually built that flower field and that tree. It looks so pretty! 💜
Anpanman is a bop and, it's on Love Yourself: Tear. My personal favourite album from them and easily one of their best to this day, in my opinion. So excited for you to get into that era. It was my first comeback and, I was never ready 💀💀💀

Persona, Serendipity and Singularity need to fight amongst themselves for my favourite intro lmao. I've never been able to choose between the three of them. Namjoon went crazy 😭😭😭😭 It was such a fantastic way to start the album and, the conversations within it

I'm sure others have mentioned this but the live performance of "Idol" from the 2018 MMA's is INCREDIBLE! If you have a chance, you should definitely watch it. Along with that RM opened up their 2019 MMA performance with "Persona" and OMG, another must watch. That whole performance is a masterpiece but not sure if you've heard every song yet that they did in it. BTS live is just on another level, especially those 2 award show performances.
I don’t know if anyone already told you or if you’ve noticed, but the last part of the song when it switched, it was actually his shadow talking to him. if you listen closely to the lyrics and the visuals you can definitely see that, he’s genius!
i love idol so much! the fact they did a colab with Nicki too for the remix, was crazy in 2018! the lyrics too, from what hes said joon really struggled with if he could be a "real" artist and rapper while being an idol but in this it's like he's saying f you I don't care anymore
persona, shadow and ego are all part of Carl Jung's psychology! I think originally it was meant to be a trilogy but after Mots: persona they decided to include shadow and ego on Mots:7 instead

Stanning BTS makes me a bit lonely since majority of my friends who actually loves BTS are so far I only talked to them online, while you read the lyrics and understand them makes me feel so much better I really love their lyrics and I really like when I see someone resonate with them I really love the vibes of me having the same thoughts by you a reactor it makes me feel less lonely than I already am so thanks!

The suits are made with Ankara print cloth, it's traditional African patterns (im forgetting which countries claim it as theirs but it's several), and during the oh-oh-ooowoh part of the chorus boys are dancing an African dance called gwara gwara; African armys loved the representation 💜 there are also many elements of Korean culture in outfits, rhythms, and set design! So it's a great blend

omg I literally hooked my phone up to my car so I could watch this on the way to work lol. Honestly watching you react to shadow almost made me cry. In terms of song writing namjoon and yoongi’s styles really compliment each other and speak to me personally. The entire rapline trio in general are like three parts of a perfect whole. But with persona and shadow you can really see it-Namjoon’s lyrics are very introspected and make you think and relate it to your own experiences while Yoongi’s lyrics are incredibly raw and personal and even though they’re specific to him, you just Get It. Probably a part of why they’re my ults is their music, it never fails to affect me.

BTS is what introduced me to kpop and I'll always have a soft spot for them despite the fact that I'm more involved in other groups. They do just hit different.
Stay gold music video always makes me cry a little. I think it represents even in situations that seem grim, you as an individual can still be the light you or someone else needs. The slow zoom into the window at the end always reminds me of the saying "the light at the end of the tunnel". Like always keep doing you, you are definitely a light on this platform 💜
The album version of Shadow has an extra verse and it gets even more heartbreaking 💔 the final autotuned part is literally Shadow talking, scaaaary

Oh, so happy you did another BTS marathon!
Idol was such an iconic song and seeing it live is almost an out-of-body experience of happiness and hype. There are a lot of references for Korean culture and also criticism BTS received in the past (like the glasses etc).
Shadow and Persona are just two amazing songs that complement each other a lot and they are still very hard-hitting and very Namjoon and Yoongi at the same time. When you listen to them with the album, you will notice how well they fit with the whole concept and the whole "story" in it. BTS lyricism is just unmatchable.
Stay Gold is such a feel-good song. Very chill and happy and just makes you stay with a warmer heart, like a comforting hug.
Excited to see your experience with the full album when you arrive at that era. It is incredible.
