- A&Z #933 - Randy Santel "Atlas" vs Porky's Baby Back BBQ Ribs Challenge in Florida Keys at Porky's Bayside Restaurant & Marina in Marathon, Florida which is known as the, "Heart of the Florida Keys." Katina and I decided to kick off our 2021 food challenge touring in Florida, and our February Florida Tour turned into a February & March Florida Tour!! I attempted lots of food challenges all over the state of Florida. For challenge #14, we went down to Porky's Bayside Restaurant & Marina in Marathon, Florida which is part of the Florida Keys!! I had 1 hour to finish 1 full rack of their fall-off-the-bone baby back BBQ ribs, 1 even larger rack of pork spare ribs, sides of Tostones (plantain chips) and Cuban style rice, and for dessert - a giant slice of their famous deep-fried key lime pie. I enjoyed one of their signature mojito cocktails along the way and was trying to win my $75 barbecue ribs meal free plus a sweet t-shirt and spot on Porky's Wall of Fame. BIG thanks to everyone with Porky's Bayside Restaurant & Marina for the amazing food, drinks, and hospitality!! Thanks to everyone who came up to watch and meet us that February evening!! Porky's Bayside Restaurant's "Hog Wild" Baby Back BBQ Ribs Challenge in Marathon, Florida ($75):
- Porky's Bayside Restaurant & Marina is known for their good food and friendly island atmosphere. Their BBQ is smoked daily on the premises and they offer fresh local seafood. Share a bit of what the Keys used to be. Relax and enjoy!!
- For this "Hog Wild" Challenge, there is a 1 hour time limit to finish 1 full rack of Baby Back BBQ Ribs, 1 full rack of Porky's BBQ spare ribs, 1 side of Cuban style rice, a side of Tostones (plantain chips), and for dessert, a slice of Porky's signature deep-fried key lime pie.
- Winners receive the $75 BBQ meal free, a sweet t-shirt, and a spot on Porky's new Wall of Fame.

If you have "fall off the bone" ribs, it means they're overcooked.
@@gruntcandy2967 100% this. It's conisdered acceptable in baby backs, but if your spare ribs slide off the bone you've done it wrong. You should be able to take a bite WITHOUT all the meat popping off.

When I saw this challenge, I felt it was the first one I could do. I mean, I can eat a rack of baby back ribs, no problem. But then I saw it took Katina almost 54 minutes and yeah, no way. Looks delicious, though. If you’ve got a guy there for 24 years, you know it’s good. 👍

I know a lot of people say, “oh I can do that” but I really do think I could actually do that
Right? I might be deluding myself, but the carb sides were just regular human portions, and while that's a lot of meat, it looks super juicy (and is almost half bones anyway).
As randy has said before, his jobs is to make it look easy for us to try haha but yeah these challenges look easy but reality is so far from that
I did 2 full racks on my own a long time ago. I was only 10 or so at the time. I'd kill me to eat that much now but I'd die very very happy!

One of the only challenges I’ve actually done that hoss has done albeit in Memphis. Two racks of ribs within an hour is not difficult really but hey it’s a Randy Santel video so I watch not just for the food challenge but his personality and commentary. Nice job hoss.
