BREN 2MS has two options in my mind, as i own one. Go heavy and have it as a automatic rifle role with bipod and a drum, or a lightweight rifle with a prism x3-5
I mean, considering we don’t know the materials CZ is using for some of the rifle, it’s hard to say. Personally, I don’t see how the KAC is better in every way. Yes, KAC has so many years building their AR-15’s but, CZ has been around A LOT longer. They know a thing or two about making weapons. The Bren 2 has been adopted by multiple militaries over seas, it’s had major success in the Ukrainian conflict (reliability & function wise), and I’m sure it’s using GOOD enough materials. Think of all the popular and venerable CZ handguns, they’re built like tanks! I doubt they’d cut THAT many corners on a rifle. As for the bolt/bolt carrier, I’m sure KAC is superior in materials. Other than that, I don’t think it merits double the price (not that I wouldn’t pay it). Personally, I’m taking the CZ and a LMT MRP/MWS or SPEAR LT. Edit: I will say, the Bren 2S’s (basically military version) were built a little better than the MS models fyi. Supposedly, the Bren 2S in 7.62x39 had superior/bigger bolts. Apparently our import laws have affected the Bren’s (negatively) we get in the U.S..
This is a very informative video of the two rifles. If i had an unlimited pocket, I would go with the Knights. I would also get the rifle cerakote to the color of my liking.
I never really liked KAC just seems like overpriced elitism to me. I'd rather go with an LMT although they aren't that much better in that department either, more people are just way to into KAC.
People whine and complain about the trigger guard. You say you was always told about not putting finger in trigger guard if not going to shoot. That holds true but at the same time if you’re not confident about components and where a bout its located then maybe folks shouldn’t purchase it. Because if you pull the trigger unintentional, thats negligence and not accidental, there’s no such thing as accidental if pressure is applied to trigger. So if you folks unaware of the force you’re applying thats inexcusable and you shouldn’t handle any firearms. At the same time if not practicing moving selector lever from safe to semi can also be an issue. Your thought process, your actions, your finger is your safety, practicing good habits is your safety. Safety is within you not the firearm. So it doesn’t matter what components are by the trigger guard. People always try to find a reason to put blame on if a mishap were to occur. If its not a legit manufacturer faulty issue, the issue maybe yourself.
Good vid man, I am so going DI all damn day! There’s a reason stoner, and Karl Lewis prefer internal piston over external tap it system, it’s so much more reliable. Short long story lol, when I got my first AR, I was dead set on an 11.5” pistol. This was just before 11.5 became the new craze in the industry I was only going off a sage dynamics video about it and I only had a strict 1200 dollar budget. No one had one in stock, so I was convinced to build one in the gun shop I was at. The owner was so nice he gave me a free used trigger and a crappy flash hider so I could afford it all and it didn’t even have sights. Well 7 years later and Biden’s dumb pistol ban, I planned to upgrade/make it 16” so the ATF wouldn’t make the world a better place by sending my wife’s husband and kids father into bankruptcy and prison for using my rifle in a home defense or hog hunting scenario, and saved waiting for Black Friday 2022. On thanksgiving day I found a glitch on brownells to use 2 discount codes at once (black Friday plus another one) and I got a DD stripped block 2 upper out the door for 680 with next day shipping and it arrived on Black Friday lol, I also got a law folder for Xmas (to still keep it small enough to fit in my grey ghost apparition backpack). Previously in its old configuration I had upgraded it with a vltor A5, vltor IMOD clobber, geissele trigger, radian talón, and radian raptor, dd fixed iron, and a Matech BUIS. In 2023 I pinned a dead air 3 prong KeyMo to bring it up to around 16.9”. Also in 2023 with my first bonus at my new job I got a nightforce nx8 2.5-20x50 mil-c, and a badger 1.54 condition one mount. I developed an autistic obsession with the GWOT block 2 recce rifles after watching the level zero hero video on UA-cam but I wanted to make it my own (if money was no object and in 2023 technology build). Only things left to do is a PDQ ambi bolt catch, Norgone ambi mag release, a 45 degree AimPoint duty on the comm mount, and for my birthday next month I am getting the LMT enhanced bolt carrier and bolt (the real reason why everyone assumes piston is better than internal piston because we’re using M16 BCG’s on 14.5 carbine gas systems which really jacked up socom rifles in the GWOT, LMT completely revolutionized that into no longer a problem). By the end of this whole 7 year journey my 1200 dollar parts build only maintains the aero lower and my rifle is about to tip the scales at 7K lol. What I’ve learned through this whole process is not to rush the process, had i waited and saved I could have got an LMT MARs, a KAC, a DD block 2 with fixed iron, ADM, or even a radian and I would have saved a lot of money/I would have had a true ambi rifle from the jump. But I do have to say I adore this rifle and it’s been a blast to see it all come together/ a Gucci ass build with an aero lower is kinda cool compared to a super expensive commercial build. Only final suggestion is make sure to watch the weight on your builds. I went quality and durability above all else and I wanted only parts that have been used by professionals and DOD approved (minus the aero lower). Now my rifle is around 14 lbs with my Harris bipod attached and a full mag, if I didn’t work out it would be very unwieldy. Even in its home defense configuration with an eotech 512 in an adm QD mount (since both the badger and the adm have maintained perfect zero if torqued to spec each time) it still is around 11 lbs. She’s a chunky gal and I love her.
That Knights is just another over priced AR. Hard Pass! I'd rather have a Robinson XCR-L for two thirds the cost. Otherwise I'll take the Bren 2 every day and twice on Sunday!
Bren 2 has my vote. I have many rifles including expensive ones. Your DI Knights armament absolutely over priced there are better quality than that for half the price from Aero Precision, also Black rain ordinance and the list goes on. A lot of companies like to mark up prices for no reason at all and feed you all with nonsense materials that make up the firearm. Most of the time they’re so full of shit. Because for the most part most manufactures use the same grade materials. Ludicrous. Like any rifle everyone always has something to pick apart and critique. It doesn’t matter if its a million dollar rifle or a two hundred dollar rifle.
Bren over the ar. I'm all for less gas to the face.
Bren all the way!
Can't speak with authority on the bren2, but the Bren 805 is chrome lined 1:7 twist barrel... and it's a beast. CZ makes fantastic firearms.
The Bren’s barrel is chrome lined fyi
Oh, and the upper material is 7075
BREN 2MS has two options in my mind, as i own one. Go heavy and have it as a automatic rifle role with bipod and a drum, or a lightweight rifle with a prism x3-5
CZ BREN all day everyday!

Damn have cz brens gone down in value ? Ones I see are 2k all day
I got a great deal on mine secondhand.
I'd pick the KAC too. But I do love my Bren 2 but it's a pain to take apart.

Excuse the name, still thinking of something new 😂🤣😭

Have you ever tried a Noveske?
Cz bren 2 all the way
The Bren 2 is $2000+ all day. You can’t get it new for $1500
$1700
Maybe it’s just me but the square “block look” it has where it meets the lower just looks cheap. I don’t like it.

Knight’s fanboys will say it’s 100% worth twice the price. Definitely a nice rifle, but it’s overpriced.

Except all the SOF guys are now running gas piston... Mainly for reliability but also gas blowback/suppressors. So idk man...
