In a way, Bleach could be akin to a male version of Alice in Wonderland. The story is set in (then) modern day Japan, but then Ichigo gets sucked into a completely different "world", or more accurately, realm, and his life is changed forever as he discovers things about himself and his history that he never knew before. And yeah, given his circumstances Ichigo finds himself in, I'd say violence is par for the course. Bleach is one of the best anime of all time!

OP15 probably felt more like an ending than an opening because that was where the original anime broadcast ended. It was sort of meant to feel final. That last sequence of the visuals where Ichigo walks towards the screen while the scenery flashes through a number of backgrounds was sort of like a slideshow of all the episode titlecards in the past. There was a several year gap between OP15 and OP16. Thousand Year Blood War, although it is covering the rest of the remaining story, did effectively serve as a revival for the anime.
Op 15 is my favourite , spent 10 uears thinking that was the final opening and in my mind it was the perfect send off opening wise , the titlecard sequence hits so hard
Bleach is an anime about a teenager getting death god powers, which is why there's a lot of imagery between a bunch of characters being in different clothing vs them having the black robes. Probably one of the most stylish shonen in terms of design and music, all very solid.
the reason OP 15 gives "ending vibes" is because that was the FINAL season of bleach aired at the time. bleach did not return to anime until 2022, literally a decade after that season. it was supposed to represent a sendoff of sorts to fans. I recommend highly reacting to the EDs next because I feel like adults would appreciate the EDs more than teens just like how I did... I thought the EDs when I was in middle school were boring but now re listening to them I can def say either they're a bop or a straight banger.

Bleach Opening 13 Ranbu No Melody is the most favourite OP from Bleach fan. After you watch Bleach and hear that opening again give U chill and goosebumps
The thing with Op15 sounding like an ED and feeling so abrupt... Is because until Thousand Year Blood War was announced, it was the last Bleach Opening and the last Bleach anime season we were ever sure we were going to get. It's a farewell to the series as shown when it quickly runs through all the series eyecatches and episode numbers as ichigo walks towards the end of the show.
Aqua Timez (OP6 & OP9) was super huge back then. They also did ED30 and a movie OST for bleach. One of the reasons why they were popular was their deep and meaningful lyrics so I hope more people will check the lyrics too
opening 16 and 17 are chosen by the author himself. The show got put on hiatus for 10 years now its back and they're doing it his way thats why the logo and series name is different. Author is a huge music buff too. Every character he makes has a theme associated with them and not just like japanese stuff. Pretty much all of it is english with some french, german and other stuff thrown in. For example theres radiohead, in flames, bon jovi. The main character's theme is news from the front by bad religion. Theres gonna be a 18th and 19th opening eventually. No confirmation about anymore than that though.
I grew up with bleach so all of these songs are just pure nostalgia boner for me... Also, I was a Change Op 12 guy growing up but now that I'm older I like the more chill song Chubura Op 8..
Oh and one last thing, just some fun fact that no one really cares, OP 6 Alones the one with the stuff toy singing is the first song (not only the first japanese song) but the first song in general printed the lyrics and memorized the whole lyrics.. I still can sing the whole song to this day xD also the full song esp the 2nd verse is my fav part because it become reggae? is that what you call it anyways it's just better.

I know this a month late of me saying this but, @17:30 the key change into the solo was most likely due to the placement and duration of the intro. Most Anime's use an Edited version of the Full song to put into the Intro segment and the production team or whoever is in charge of putting the music in the intro has to split the full version for it to fit the intro cutscene. I hope that helps explain why the key change was very weird n off, I encourage yall to listen to the full song if you ever get the chance.

Hello Teji! Big fan of the channel, just watched the recent Anime Studio #5, you guys nailed it, love the style of the song. Trully well done!. Just to also let you know on more of the rock style the Anime Gintama has good Openings, Endings and cool OST. So either reactions, or potentially anime studio on Gintama would be Amazing. (some suggestions: Jinsei wa Belt Conveyor no You, Zurajyanai Katsuradaaa!!, or any of the Spyar songs on the Ops and Eds). Thank you once again!
I don't know if anyone ever mentioned this, but i know with Bleach and One Piece, a lot of these more laid back openings, or scenes in openings where characters are just chillin with different fashion are usually taken from the manga's weekly cover art. With One Piece, Oda might take a fan request or start a mini story in his cover pages, and i think with Tite Kubo/Bleach, dude is just really into fashion and pop culture. I think it's neat when the animators take those amazing still images and put a bit more love into it. Also with OP7 and maybe one other that I can't recall, the full release of the song is toned down and more consistent in time (which actually made it a worse imo)
For KOBI of all people to have no watched Bleach....Guess that just means it'll be a first watch for all of you when you hopefully check it out eventually
